Prosecutors are seeking a more severe sentence for Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis Police officer convicted of second-degree murder and other charges in the death of George Floyd. Floyd died last year in police custody after Chauvin kneeled on his neck for over nine minutes outside of a Minneapolis convenience store.
