In the coming days, First Lady Michelle Obama will be traveling to South Africa and Botswana to meet with young people from across Africa, including the Young African Women Leaders Forum. A lifelong acolyte of exercise and fitness, Sandy Shaffer works out three times per week, eats a diet loaded with fruits and vegetables, and somehow finds time to teach a weekly aerobics class, but at five-foot, five inches (1.65 meters) and 320 pounds (145 kilograms), Shaffer also is considered obese. But the plus-sized sports enthusiast insists that the label says little about the generally excellent state of her health. And that is the single biggest problem she has with Michelle Obama's "Let's Move" health initiative.
