Been in the hospital since Monday. Been diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation. Leading now to a possible blood clot in my lungs. We’ll find out tomorrow for sure. Naturally, I’ve never gotten the clot shot. But when I did have Covid, I did go in for monoclonal antibodies which made an immediate world of difference. I’ve always wondered if in fact Covid vaccines were included with those MAB infusions. I’ve done my research and experts say no. There were no Covid vaccines with these infusion. Experts say….. Well, we all know experts have been lying to us for years now so...

Okay, finally got Covid, may have had it previously. But this time, temperature is 104-105, sore throat, congestion, cough, achy joints, etc. I have not received any of the experimental Covid vaccines, but am current on all other medically recommened and approved shots. I am 62, technically obese, and have a bad history with H1N1 vaccine in 2010. In that, I ended up in the hospital for a week, diagnosed then and later with an enlarged heart and irregular heartbeat. Doctor is currently offering choice of Paxlovid or Sotrovimab monoclonal treatment, plus ibuprofen. Anyone got thoughts and history with these...

The monoclonal antibody ban is actually about Governor Ron DeSantis. On January 24, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) shut down Florida’s popular monoclonal treatment sites. Without warning, the FDA revised its emergency use authorization (EUA) to cancel appointments for thousands of Floridians who were to be treated for mild to moderate COVID-19 with monoclonal antibodies. The FDA cites the ineffectiveness of the monoclonal antibody treatments against the new omicron variant. Florida governor Ron DeSantis fired back that this was simply the latest in a series of threats to punish Florida patients and their doctors. White House Press Secretary...

Monoclonal antibody sites throughout Florida will be closed after the Food and Drug Administration adjusted its authorization for the COVID-19 treatment. The new FDA policy only allows those "likely to have been infected with or exposed to a variant that is susceptible to these treatments" to receive the new medication, despite Florida's leadership advocating for its use among the populace."This indefensible edict takes treatment out of the hands of medical professionals and will cost some Americans their lives," Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said in a Monday statement. "There are real-world implications to Biden's medical authoritarianism — Americans' access to treatments is...

The Food and Drug Administration on Monday significantly restricted the use of a pair of monoclonal antibody treatments for COVID-19 because they are ineffective against the omicron. The agency said the therapies made by Eli Lilly and Regeneron should only be used in patients that have been infected with or exposed to a variant that is susceptible to the treatments.

“Monoclonal Antibody Treatments Save Lives,” announced the New York City Department of Health in an October 26 public notice. These treatments “are available and lifesaving,” the agency said, noting that they “have averted at least 1,100 hospitalizations and at least 500 deaths among people treated in New York City.” The agency urged the public to seek out these monoclonal antibody treatments as soon as possible: “When given early after symptom onset, mAb treatments can decrease the risk of hospitalization and death due to COVID-19, which is why it is crucial to get tested for COVID-19 as soon as symptoms begin...

Dr. Ron Elfenbein called the pause in some antibody treatments the 'height of bureaucratic arrogance'.. A doctor in Maryland said he had to cancel potentially life-saving monoclonal antibody infusions for about 250 people over the last week after the federal government stopped distributing treatments made by Regeneron and Eli Lilly because they aren't effective against omicron, even though the delta variant, which the drugs are effective at treating, was still dominant at the time. The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response halted the allocation of those two antibody treatments last Thursday amid the rise of omicron, which...

Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo accused the Biden administration of "actively preventing the effective distribution of monoclonal antibody treatments" in the United States, according to a Tuesday letter addressed to Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra. The Biden administration recently paused shipments of COVID-19 antibody treatments manufactured by major drug companies Regeneron and Eli Lilly amid claims that such treatments are not effective against the omicron variant of the coronavirus. The federal government continues to supply Sotrovimab, a monoclonal antibody from the company Glaxosmithkline, which reportedly does work against omicron. Ladapo concluded his letter by referencing comments Biden...

"Race and gender extremism isn't just in gender study classes or elementary schools, it's being taught in Medical schools and is having real-world effects." Harrison Hill Smith, a Texas radio host, was denied monoclonal antibody treatment for COVID because he is white, not black or Hispanic. Smith, who presents the American Journal on the InfoWars network, tweeted on Saturday that he was denied receiving monoclonal antibody treatment for COVID because he was white, adding that such treatment was only available “for blacks and Hispanics,” which he described as being “f888888 insane.” (edited) Despite some initial skepticism from some leftists, Smith...

On September 17, Mayra Arana made the phone call she says saved her life. Arana had been vaccinated against Covid-19, but she developed a breakthrough infection. She feared the virus might kill her, since her immune system is weak after years of treatment for leukemia. Arana's family physician in California told her there wasn't much she could do besides stay home and rest. At home, following her doctor's advice, Arana felt sicker by the hour. Her husband placed a pulse oximeter on her fingertip, and it showed her blood oxygen levels were dipping dangerously low. "I'm Catholic, so I kept...

Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Treatment with monoclonal antibodies reduced the need for hospital care in adults at high risk for serious illness from COVID-19, a study published Tuesday by JAMA Network Open found. Just over 17% of high-risk Native Americans given the treatment based on laboratory-created antibodies, or immune proteins that fight off infections, within days of testing positive for the virus were admitted to the hospital, the data showed. However, 43% of patients in the study who did not receive monoclonal antibodies required hospital treatment. In addition, more than 4% of the untreated patients were admitted to a hospital...

Huntsville Memorial Hospital is the latest to start offering COVID-19 monoclonal antibody infusion treatments. As the number of COVID-19 hospitalizations continues to rise across the state, more treatments and resources are becoming available for those who contract the virus. Dr. Sujesh Pillai is the chief of staff for Huntsville Memorial. He says they’ve administered a little over 50 infusions in the last two weeks, and only one person had to be admitted to the hospital. “When you get the infusion treatment, it’s a one-hour IV infusion that we do in the hospital. You’re not admitted. You go home right after...

LOS ANGELES - As the country continues its push to get more Americans vaccinated, FOX 11 caught up with an elderly couple who caught the virus despite taking their COVID-19 shots. FOX 11's Phil Shuman spoke with 72-year-old Miriam Selivry, who – along with her husband, Nathan, 74, and two other relatives – all tested positive for the virus despite always wearing their masks. Last night, President Joe Biden participated in a town hall on CNN. He continued his pleas for those unvaccinated against COVID-19 to get their shots. Once again, the messaging is a little bit off given current events: Biden: “You’re not gonna get COVID if you get vaccinated” (He says this as fully vaccinated WH staff are testing positive) In the last several days, fully vaccinated Texas Democrats, along with a few White House staff members and several professional athletes, have tested positive for COVID-19. In these cases, either the commercial tests used are oversensitive and pick up RNA fragments following...

As Mumbai city’s management and medical experts prepare for an anticipated third wave of Covid-19, an experimental drug has offered a glimmer of hope against the virus. Known as monoclonal antibody cocktail, the drug’s response has been analysed in 199 patients who were admitted to Mumbai’s Seven Hills Hospital, and the findings are promising, say doctors. Their analysis underlined two important findings – persistent fever in patients resolved within 48 hours and the days of hospitalisation were reduced. This suggests that the drug could play a role in reducing the number of severe Covid-19 cases and thereby the fatality. More...
