----- Original Message ----- From: Nick Subject: Could it have been an Undesirable Discharge? Subject: Courtesy of Major Bill Donahue USMC (Ret) Kerry's discharge Sit down and take a deep breath. I learned something over the past few hours. LB, you have known me for many years. I tell you this with full assurance that I believe every word I am writing. I trust my source 110%. As a former Army Remington Raider you may understand the details of this better then me. The earlier Internet statements that John Kerry got a dishonorable discharge (DD) were wrong. You and I...

How was it possible for John Kerry to enlist in the United States Naval Reserve at a time when there was a substantial waiting list to do so? Currently there is an uproar about the president receiving possible special treatment to enter the Texas Air Guard. It seems only fair for Senator Kerry to explain how he was able to enter the USNR.

WASHINGTON -- On Nov. 21, 1969, John F. Kerry made a crucial decision: He wanted to leave active duty in the Navy in order to run for Congress. "Because various political figures have advised that I move quickly to establish my organization, I respectfully request that I be released from active duty as soon as possible," Kerry, who was serving as an aide to an admiral in Brooklyn, wrote in a memo. Kerry won early release and was transferred to the Naval Reserve, which the Kerry presidential campaign says required that Kerry do no more than report his whereabouts in...
  • Sen. Kerry: Did You Go AWOL from the Naval Reserves?

Crushkerry.com is re-posting this story from early-May. Now that some folks seem at least casually curious about Kerry's Vietnam cover-ups ... we thought we'd ask again: Sen. Kerry, did you go AWOL from the Naval Reserves? With little proof save for the conspiracy theories of an obese low-budget filmmaker and a professional hack at the Democrat National Committee, the left-leaning national press corps moved Heaven and earth to get to the bottom of the gaps in President Bush’s military service record. The White House complied, releasing pay records and other peripheral evidence that Bush had indeed served in the Alabama...

I recall reading or hearing something about JF'nKerry trying to get out of service before he enlisted. Is this true? Any links? Further, did he also try enlisting in the National Guard before the Navy (the person from whom I heard this also said that, at the time, if you couldn't get in the NG, you tried to get in the Navy, as you would still only be in boats--accuracy?) Thanks!
