A US judge has thrown out a lawsuit lodged by New Yorkers seeking the right to dance when they please in their city's bars and restaurants, which is restricted by a decades-old law, officials said. A group of amateur and professional dancers filed the suit, which bans dancing in establishments without a so-called cabaret licence.
