Apparently a lot of people who know nothing reside at the top levels of the Obama administration. Why does that not come as a surprise? It’s probably because the tone of any organization is set from the top, the very pointy top. Still it’s surprising that the administration that knows more about banking than bankers, more about healthcare than doctors, more firearms than people who legally possess arms, more about budgets than citizens who have to balance their checkbooks and more about practically everything than anyone else, would admit that on a few things, they really know nothing. “On most...

The president golfed with White House aides Marvin Nicholson, Joe Paulsen, and Michael Brush. Last Saturday, the president played golf at the same course with Nicholson, Brush

The Kapolei Golf Club laid off 14 out of 110 employed at the course recently. The employees were from various departments. "After careful consideration and full review of operations, we had to make the difficult decision of reducing our staff at Kapolei Golf Club," said Micah Kane, chief operating officer of Pacific Links Hawaii, in a statement. "This shift enables Pacific Links Hawai'i to operate at optimal efficiency and better provide the high quality of service that our customers have come to expect and solidify the future of our remaining employees. We do not anticipate any further staff cuts." Other...

Former President Bill Clinton — the 42nd president — is joining President Barack Obama — he's No. 44 — for a round of golf at Joint Air Base in Maryland. Obama hits the links with Bill Clinton By Erik Wasson - 12/02/12 01:07 PM ET JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md.-- President Obama and former President Bill Clinton hit the golf course on Sunday. Obama is playing his round at Maryland’s Joint Base Andrews and it is the third presidential golf outing here since the Nov. 6 elections, under sunny skies with temperatures around 55 degrees. Clinton went to bat for the president in the just-ended campaign, delivering an well-received endorsement at the Democratic National Convention in September. Their partnership, which was initially rocky in the early days of the Obama presidency,...

Obama Plays Golf for the 100th Time of his Presidency

On Saturday, President Obama enjoyed his 94th round of golf since coming to the White House. If golf were his full-time job, that would be the equivalent of nearly three months spent on the greens. While he hit the links, Americans have suffered from high unemployment and a lingering economic malaise with little hope for a prosperous future.

During the past year, Barack Obama has attended over 100 fundraisers. Even in a cynical, political town, such as Washington, DC Obama is racking up some staggering numbers, with time spent out of the office leading the list. We are a generation that is used to executives who work outside of the office using air travel, telework, video conferencing, off-site, motivational conferences, international, simulcast product launches and a host of other 21st century management techniques to enhance a worker’s performance. But in this age of out of the office “productivity” activities, the average American is a mere piker compared...

The historic achievements for the worst president in modern history just keep on coming. Apparently it was unseasonably warm on the east coast, especially in D.C. Truly historic ... according to White House Dossier the “four some” did include one of Obama’s loves, Reggie Love who is leaving the failing White House at the end of the year. It’s his 30th time golfing this year and the 88th golf outing of his presidency.

President Obama, it turns out, is by far the most golf-mad of all the Presidents in history. Yesterday, the President was playing the 66th round of his presidency, and his fifth round in five weeks, as US special forces prepared to move in on bin Laden. There’s nothing wrong in all that golf. The odd thing about being President is the amount of time you have on your hands, punctuated by sudden moments of extreme tension, requiring great decisiveness – like the correct and admirable decision to attack bin Laden’s bunker. What is unfair – not that this is Obama’s...

EDGARTOWN - Another Sunday, another missed opportunity for President Obama to prove to America he’s not a Muslim. But instead of attending church services at one of the dozens and dozens of quaint, island Christian churches yesterday morning, the commander in chief hit Our Lady of the Fairways, aka the Vineyard Golf Club, yet again, to play 18. Obama again teed off with Chicago pal Eric Whitaker and aide Marvin Nicholson . Rounding out the foursome was Bill Lewis, a regular Vineyard vacationer who played with Obama and Whitaker last year. Once again, the press corps was kept far, far...

CHILMARK - President Obama made the most of his first day of vacation, playing 18 holes at the chi-chi Vineyard Golf Club after taking daughters Sasha and Malia book shopping in Vineyard Haven. The prez, who has played more than 40 rounds of golf while in office, continued his links roll at the private, 18-hole course in Edgartown where he teed off with his favorite golfing companion, White House aide Marvin Nicholson, Chicago BFF Eric Whitaker and House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn.
