Police say an NYPD officer who was shot in the Bronx has died of her injuries. She’s been identified as Miosotis Familia, a 12-year veteran of the force. The NYPD said the officer was shot while in a patrol vehicle with her partner in the Bronx early Wednesday.

FLINT, MI -- A police officer has been injured at Bishop Airport. A witness told MLive he saw a man detained near a knife and an officer on his knees and bleeding from the neck. The airport's Facebook page says the airport is being evacuated as police investigate, and that all passengers are safe. People planning to fly from Bishop today are asked to contact their airline for potential cancelations or delays.

The FBI is investigating the stabbing of a police officer at Flint, Michigan's Bishop Airport as a 'possible act of terror'. A Lincoln County deputy and at least seven others were killed overnight in Bogue Chitto, according to the Associated Press. The FBI had an open investigation on the leader of a black nationalist group who shot a Dallas paramedic on Monday and killed another man. Derick Lamont Brown was under investigation for his ties to the New Black Panther Party and an associated group, the Huey P. Newton Gun Club, NBC DFW reports. Dallas police say Brown killed his 67-year-old roommate and shot a neighbor Monday morning. He shot a paramedic responding to the scene of the shooting and then opened fire on police as they arrived.
