For some people, "early bird gets the worm" is a life motto. To them, "fashionably" late is not a thing. These people are "on-timers," and they have unique habits that make them who they are. Seeing as showing up late is disrespectful, and can negatively affect your career as well as your relationships, it may be time to take a page out of their book. Punctuality is something many people struggle with - especially in an age where technology has made it easier than ever to let people know you might be late. However tardy timekeepers may be glad to know over in Mexico, turning up half an hour late is entirely acceptable, and in Morocco you can be anything from an hour to a day late without anyone batting an eyelid. But those keen to adhere to scheduled times needn't panic as Japan and Germany are sticklers for punctuality with the latter even requiring you to be early for meetings, a new infographic reveals.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed the state budget into law during a signing ceremony in the Capitol rotunda Friday, a day before the start of the new fiscal year. It was the first on-time budget since 2000. The $131 billion spending plan for the 2006-07 fiscal year uses a nearly $8 billion tax windfall to pay down state debts, dramatically boost spending on education, and infuse new funds into social programs. The governor used his line-item veto powers to strip $175.5 million in state spending from the budget.
