(IsraelNN.com) Vice President-elect Joe Biden has appointed former Clinton administration aide Ran Klain as his chief of staff, one week after President-elect Barack Obama tapped Clinton aide Rahm Emanuel to head the White House as chief of staff. Both appointees are Jewish, but while Emanuel is an observant Jew, Klain intermarried more than 20 years ago and his family observes Christmas. Klain, like Emanuel, promoted the Oslo Peace Accords, which eventually exploded into the Oslo War that has been raging since September, 2000. Emanuel choreographed the handshake between Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin and Yasser Arafat on the White House lawn...

A 38-year-old man with an Eritrean background was charged with four counts of rape in Oslo District Court on Monday, Nettavisen wrote. The man, who is registered as living in Vest-Agder county, is accused of having raped three different women whom he met in the capital. “There is nothing that points to these being attack rapes, but rather as I understand it attacks on women that he met in the city,” the man’s defense lawyer, Arne Gunnar Aas told Nettavisen. …

A veteran leader of the Peace Now movement is apparently calling on Israel to overthrow the Palestinian Authority. It may seem hard to believe, but that's the plain meaning of an op-ed in the July 29 edition of the New York Jewish Week by Martin I. Bresler, a former Chairman--and current board member--of Americans for Peace Now. ..... Peace Now has long functioned almost as a defense attorney for the Palestinian Authority- Peace Now has long functioned almost as a defense attorney for the Palestinian Authority--vigorously demanding Israeli concessions to the PA, while refraining from criticizing the PA's sponsorship of...

A 230-foot long replica of Noah’s Ark collided with a Norwegian Coast Guard vessel as it arrived in Oslo, Norway on Friday, causing damage to both ships. Media says the wooden replica, built by a Dutch carpenter Johan Huibers after he dreamed of a flood in his home town, was being towed into Oslo harbor when it somehow lost control and crashed into the moored patrol vessel Nornen.

Oslo, Norway (CNN) — Norwegian mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik has won part of his lawsuit against the state over his solitary confinement in a high-security prison, a court announced Wednesday. The Oslo district court found the 37-year-old's treatment in prison violated Article 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights, prohibiting "inhuman or degrading treatment," and ruled that his conditions must be eased. The court also ordered the government to pay legal costs of 331,000 kroner ($40,600) for the right-wing extremist, who killed 77 people in a shooting rampage and bombing attack in 2011.

The Two State solution (TSS) is dead but rather than bury it, the US and the EU want to embalm it, in the off chance that it can be brought to life in a decade or two. In the meantime they are doing their utmost to prevent Israel from building Jewish homes east of the armistice lines, including in Jerusalem. They do this in knowing violation of Israel’s rights. Moshe Arens, a former Israel Ambassador to the US, Israel Defense Minister and Minister of Defense, noted in Haaretz, Israel’s version of the New York Times: "These critics (of settlement construction)...

Gronland is a district in Oslo, Norway, very close to Parliament. Per a Poqari News report, the area looks like “Karachi, Basra, and Mogadishu all rolled into one.â€Â The situation has devolved to such a point that the police in Gronland have declared: “Oslo is lost.†Gronland’s been on track to join the caliphate for a while. A little over two years ago, Muslims in Gronland were pushing for it to become part of the Islamic State. Poqari News reports that Norway (and all of Europe) is no longer recognizable as such, that women are routinely raped, men are...

President Reuven Rivlin met at the White House on Wednesday evening with US President Barack Obama for the first time since he assumed the presidency. President Obama stressed the meeting was "an opportunity to reaffirm the unbreakable bonds between Israel and the US," adding that "our commitment to Israel's security is an important pillar of US foreign policy." The remark was likely an attempt to convey a clear message of American support for Israel, despite strains between the two countries earlier in the year over the Iran nuclear deal. Obama also took the opportunity to condemn Palestinian violence, urging Palestinian...

"V sad start to day; just learned Sandy Berger passed away during the night," Richard Haass, the president of the Council on Foreign Relations, tweeted Wednesday morning. "Good man & friend who served nation well as bill clinton's NSA." Antony Blinken, the current deputy secretary of state and a Berger acolyte, tweeted, "Mourn the passing of Sandy Berger --- father, husband, mentor, friend, leader and great patriot. RIP SRB." OCTOBER 17, 2009 Rajaratnam Surfaced in U.S. Terrorism Probe By EVAN PEREZ and MATTHEW ROSENBERG WASHINGTON—The hedge-fund billionaire charged as part of a vast insider-trading case surfaced in an earlier, separate probe into U.S. fundraising by a Sri Lankan terrorist group, people familiar with the probe said. As part of that investigation, federal agents said they uncovered documents showing that Raj Rajaratnam, founder of the Galleon Group, was among several wealthy Sri Lankans in the U.S. whose donations to a Maryland-based charity made their way to the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, according to people familiar with the probe. Raj...

When senior Palestinian security officials want to mock their Israeli colleagues, they remind them that just in Qalandiya - an area controlled by Israel - there are at least 400 M-16 rifles. That figure does not incluide other weapons - guns, explosives and grenades - that are in the hands of militant groups there. Some of these groups are affiliated with Fatah's Tanzim, some are affiliated with other organizations, and others belong to criminal organizations - all operating in this no man's land, where no law applies. These militants have no problem with appearing on camera, on Channel 2 for...

Oslo's new leftist city council said on Monday that it wanted to ban private cars from the downtown area by 2019 as part of a plan to slash greenhouse gas emissions by half. The plan was laid out by the Labour Party and its allies the Socialist Left and the Green Party, who won the September 14 municipal elections in the Norwegian capital. The programme envisages a ban on private vehicles in the city centre which, according to the Verdans Gang newspaper, is home to only about 1,000 people but where some 90,000 work. Although the city council did not...

Palestinian Authority (PA) leader Mahmoud Abbas has announced that the PA is no longer committed to the 1994 Oslo Accords. In his UN General Assembly address Wednesday evening, Abbas wasted no time attacking Israel from the podium in New York. He began by repeating calls for a “two-state solution,” and condemning Israeli “settlements” in Judea and Samaria, as well as the blockade of Gaza. …

When the Nobel committee awarded President Obama the Peace Prize just eight and a half months after he stepped foot in the Oval Office, many people were left scratching their heads. After all, what, exactly, had this community organizer-turned-president done yet to deserve a prize shared by the likes of Mother Theresa? Well, even the committee acknowledged at the time they weren’t giving it to him for accomplishments already made, but those hoped for. And now, according to a new memoir by the former director of Norway’s Nobel Institute, the committee believes it may have made a mistake. “[We] thought...

Palestinians on Verge of Renouncing Oslo Accords Palestinian breach of legally binding accord puts to rest an agreement that was DOA. September 9, 2015 Ari Lieberman Reports are emerging that the Palestinian Authority’s unelected “president” Mahmoud Abbas will soon announce the nullification of all past agreements with Israel, including the infamous 1993 Oslo Accords. Abbas will then declare “Palestine” to be a state under “occupation.” The architect of this new approach is none other than Saeb Erekat, a senior figure in Abbas’s inner circle and one of the PA’s primary rejectionist figures. It was Erekat who was the...

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s remark about the dangers of a Palestinian state has sent advocates of Palestinian statehood into a rage so hysterical that you would think he had questioned somebody’s sacred religious beliefs. On second thought, maybe he did. The Palestinian statehood crowd has become so inflexible and doctrinaire, and so oblivious to the changing realities of the Middle East, that their political positions are starting to resemble a set-in-stone religious faith. Here’s what the prime minister said: “Anyone who is going to establish a Palestinian state, anyone who is going to evacuate territories today, is simply giving a...

On Saturday, I expressed serious skepticism here at PJ Media about the “Muslim Peace Ring†that surrounded an Oslo synagogue over the weekend. Here’s what I observed: Now I’m not going to get into the motives of those involved today, but color me skeptical of these types of events for several reasons.First, if you contact the international media to cover your event, forgive me if I question your sincerity. Your staged “Ring of Peace” photo op is really a “Ring of Propaganda.” Matthew 6:1-4 and all that.Secondly, when you use actual victims (Jews) to try to make yourselves (Muslims) the...

The weekend’s feel-good story about a Muslim “ring of peace” formed to “protect” Jews at an Oslo synagogue turned out to be a complete fabrication by the mainstream media, according to an eyewitness report, local officials, and attendees’ photos. According to a local eyewitness, only about 20 or so Muslims formed the “ring of peace” around the Oslo synagogue. In fact, pictures from multiple angles show that there wasn’t enough people to form a ring, so the locals instead formed a horizontal line in front of the synagogue.
