BURLEY — A multiple-vehicle crash sent four people to Idaho hospitals Oct. 30 east of Burley. Idaho State Police investigated the crash just before 3 p.m. on westbound Interstate 84 near the Interstate 86 junction. Two great white sharks were located off the coast of North Carolina this week after the massive predators traveled more than a thousand miles from Canada to reach the coastal waters, according to officials with the shark tagging and tracking organization Ocearch. The sharks — Nova and Cabot — were tagged off the coast of Nova Scotia in September and October, respectively. Nova, a 1,186-pound great white with a length nearing 12 feet, is the first great white tagged by Ocearch researchers in Canadian waters, according to the organization. The Bayonne Bridge was shut down in both directions Thursday afternoon, making for a worse commute for those driving in the snow, sleet and rain. The bridge was shutdown by Port Authority due to slippery conditions and several cars becoming stuck on the incline of the renovated bridge, which is steeper than it used to be, spokesman Joe Pentangelo said.

A horse was found in the backyard pool of a Paradise, Calif. resident, after the animal apparently tried to find a safe space as the Camp Fire moved through town. Paradise resident Jeff Hill shared photos of the horse Sunday on Facebook. The photos showed the horse in a pool, but entangled in the pool cover.
