The Trump administration notified the United Nations Friday that the U.S. intends to officially withdraw from the Paris climate accord, the Department of State announced. Following the procedure laid out in the agreement, the United States will withdraw “as soon as it is eligible to do so.” The earliest the U.S. can begin officially withdrawing from the accord is Nov. 4, 2019, under the terms of the Paris agreement. The notice to the UN is largely ceremonial, and the earliest a full withdrawal can be finalized is November 2020, one year after official proceedings have begun, The Hill reports. President...

Late last night, the Eiffel Tower was evacuated after a knife-wielding Mauritanian-born man shouted “Allahu Akbar” (an Arabic term meaning “Allah is greater [than your God or government]”) before trying to force his way past security. The man, presumably Muslim given what he chose to scream and given the fact that Mauritania is 100% Muslim, was arrested. No one was hurt in the incident. Police arrested the would-be-intruder at around 11.30pm, just half an hour before the tower stops admitting visitors.

RUSH: All right, so here’s the story on Trump’s remark to the French first lady. It’s from the Reuters News Agency (they just despise Trump) and the headline is: “Australian Foreign Minister Criticizes Trump’s Remark to French First Lady — Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop on Sunday criticized comments by U.S. President Donald Trump on French first lady Brigitte Macron’s appearance. ‘You’re in such good shape,’ Trump was filmed on Thursday telling her during his first state visit to France.” Okay, now, what in the world is…? I mean, what is so wrong with, “You’re in such good shape”? What...

Shortened title. Full title: During Trump’s Paris Visit Migrant Suburbs Saw 900 Cars Burned in Scenes of ‘Intolerable Urban Violence’ While U.S. President Donald Trump was on a visit to France for the national Bastille Day celebrations in Paris, clashes in the capital’s migrant-dominated suburbs saw 13 security force members wounded and 897 cars burned. The Interior Ministry said 368 people were placed in custody for riots and violence on the nights of 13 and 14 July — scenes which have become a regular occurrence in multicultural urban neighborhoods of Paris at the start of Bastille Day celebrations each year.

French President Emmanuel Macron says he worked his charm on President Donald Trump during the U.S. leader's visit to Paris – so much so that he may have changed Trump’s mind on climate change. Trump and Macron -- who said his interaction with Trump was carefully calculated -- discussed their main point of contention: U.S. withdrawal from the Paris climate agreement. Macron told French news outlet Le Journal du Dimanche that Trump “listened” to him when the two discussed climate change, adding: “He understood the reason for my position, notably the link between climate change and terrorism.” The presidents spoke...

First Lady Melania Trump arrived in Paris alongside President Trump on Thursday and visited France’s largest pediatric hospital as her first engagement during the two-day visit. The massive Necker Hospital, founded in 1778, remains one of the oldest still-functioning hospitals in Paris. The hospital features a “large, multicolored totem sculpture” courtesy of American artist Keith Haring, which was delivered in 1987. Our beautiful First Lady looked absolutely stunning in red and showed class as she spoke French to the children in the hospital. Some of the children's parents were in the room as Melania and the children gathered around a table topped with building blocks, books and toys. 'Hello! Bonjour! How are you?' Trump said as she entered the room. She then spoke to the children in French, one of the five languages she speaks. She is also fluent in Serbian, German, Italian and English. As reporters came into the room, Melania switched to English as an adult in the room translated for some of the French-speaking children. Sitting in an adult-sized chair at the table, Melania leafed through a coloring book for...

Take Paris first: Paris is sadly a city plagued by frequent, major Islamic terrorist attacks, and the city’s government has shown zero sign of being willing to do anything effective to truly resolve the issue. Worse, France’s open borders policy virtually ensures that this problem is going to only become worse as the years go on, as more and more immigrants enter the country from Islamic nations. Hosting an Olympic Games will require Paris to become a literal police state for a minimum of six weeks, and the cost of infrastructure and security-mandated improvements will be astronomical. Los Angeles may...

Americans are still waiting for a border wall, but France is set to get a wall of their own by the end of the year. Unlike the American iteration, this barrier won’t be erected on the French border. It’s set to surround the Eiffel Tower to shield it from terrorist attacks. Last month, the Paris city council approved a $20 million bulletproof glass wall, just over 8 feet high, that will surround the iconic tower. In a country proudly obsessed with art and beauty, this will be an obnoxious eyesore and a reminder that war and violence is just a...

A man was arrested after he drove his vehicle into barriers protecting a mosque in the Paris suburbs Thursday, police said, with Muslim officials describing the incident as an “attempted attack”. The 4×4 vehicle “struck pillars and barriers in place to protect the mosque of Creteil”, in the southeast of the capital, before speeding off and crashing into a traffic island, police said. No-one was injured. The driver, who was also the owner of the vehicle, fled but was arrested “without incident” at his home shortly afterwards, police added. A search was conducted Thursday night at the driver’s home, a...

The President of the Union of Seine-et-Marne Muslims, Boudjema Hammache, said: “It is a duty to show respect and appeasement to others.” Hammache no doubt believes that only non-Muslims have such a duty. When in Muslim countries, one must conform one’s behavior to suit Muslim sensibilities. And when in non-Muslim countries, one must conform one’s behavior to suit Muslim sensibilities

An app has been launched in Paris warning people if they are in a so-called no-go zone and giving live alerts of sexual assaults. Dozens of people have already downloaded No-Go Zone, which is available on Google Play, and it currently has a rating of 4.3 out of 5. Its designers say the app is meant to let people know if they are in a dangerous area and allow them to avoid places in the French capital where they might be at risk of violence or crime. One Parisian reviewer said: 'Given the current degradation, it is better to have...

On June 19, Iran Launched 7 medium-range ballistic missiles targeting ISIS in Syria. The same day a US Navy Super Hornet shot down a Syrian Su-22. On June 20, a USAF F-15E blasted Iranian Shahed-129 armed drone out of the sky. The drone was shot down as it advanced toward the coalition-backed rebel outpost of At Tanf, near the southern Syrian border. In addition, Khamenei, Iran’s supreme leader, in a speech, harshly attacked the US and posted hostile tweets. “That US arms a terrorist group is what causes instability. Who created #ISIS? The US!... That the US joined the anti-ISIS...

On June 1, when he announced pulling out of the climate change agreement, President Donald Trump put his finger on the key problem, which was deliberately part of the plan. He attacked "the draconian financial and economic burdens the agreement imposes on our country" while creating a so-called Green Climate Fund which would cost the United States "a vast fortune" to be sent to the other nations of the world. In other words, Trump's pull-out from the agreement works AGAINST Russian interests and those of the global socialists. Nevertheless, the propaganda campaign continues. In July, Netflix releases the film "Chasing...

The driver who attacked police on the Champs-Élysées on Monday had a permit to carry arms, sources close to the case have admitted, despite the fact he was on France’s terror watchlist for having been radicalized. The French PM says it’s “not satisfactory”. Sources close to the probe said the man, named as Adam Djaziri in the French press had been on France’s security watchlist since 2015 over ties to “the radical Islamist movement”. But the suspect’s father told AFP that his son “had a registered weapon; he practiced shooting”. A source close to the case said the 31-year-old had...
