Ukraine has received its first delivery of NASAMS air defence systems which will "significantly strengthen" its armed forces, Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov said on Monday. White House National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby said last month the United States was accelerating the shipment of the sophisticated NASAMS systems to Ukraine after a devastating missile barrage from Russia. "Look who’s here! NASAMS and Aspide air defence systems arrived in Ukraine!," Reznikov wrote on the Telegram messaging app, thanking Norway, Spain and the United States for the shipments. "These weapons will significantly strengthen the #UAarmy and will make our skies safer."

(CNN) House Republicans are plotting revenge on the select committee investigating the January 6, 2021, insurrection, as the GOP weighs a broader effort to re-litigate some of Donald Trump's biggest election grievances if it recaptures the House majority. The former President has been itching for payback and leaning heavily on his Capitol Hill allies to defend him against a recent slew of damaging revelations about his role in the deadly attack on the US Capitol. Now, as Republicans search for ways to undermine those findings, their party has started to lay the groundwork to investigate the select committee itself. Republicans...

U.S. lawmakers are reportedly questioning California Sen. Dianne Feinstein's capacity to do her job at her age. Senators and other officials are reportedly concerned that Diane Feinstein, 88, is no longer mentally competent enough to do her job as a lawmaker, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Feinstein's critics, however, have declined to speak on the record and asked to have their names withheld. "I have worked with her for a long time and long enough to know what she was like just a few years ago: always in command, always in charge, on top of the details, basically couldn’t...

Sheriff Michael Chapman of Loudoun County, Va. got an unpleasant surprise recently from Old Joe Biden’s handlers. On Thursday, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office published a press release that reveals the truly astonishing extent of the administration’s high-handedness, dishonesty, carelessness, and recklessness in its resettlement of Afghan refugees in cities and towns all over the United States. Without any prior warning, Loudoun County officials were told that 2,000 Afghan refugees would be arriving in the county in just over two weeks and that 2,000 more would be arriving every month after that through September. In what will come as no...

A rough estimate of the price tag is $1 billion the first year. Days after it was dropped from the House version of the budget bill, a tax credit to help pay the salaries of local journalists is back in. The measure still needs to win inclusion in the Senate’s version and survive any further reduction of the $1.75 trillion target total. Still, the move represents a big improvement in prospects for the subsidy. Steven Waldman, president and co-founder of Report for America, and Dean Ridings, CEO of industry association America’s Newspapers, both credited the turnaround to publishers and owners...

Newsmax reporter Emerald Robinson joined Greg Kelley last night to talk about President Trump’s next moves when he is expected to leave office next week. Emerald says Trump is “out for blood” and ready to help primary the anti-Trump haters from the party. “It goes back to what Fred said. There were some things that happened to the president that just were unnecessary. It was bad advice. It was bad personnel.” The demonic left tried to destroy Trump and remove him from his base. It didn’t happen despite the committed coup against this president since before he took office, and...

We are in critical times when liberals are trying to “fix” the Land of the free. President is being attacked not by foreign terrorists, but home grown attackers, fake media, even by own factions of government, FBI, Congress, you name it. Now we see media moguls of Facebook, Twitter, Google, Amazon and TV and Radio getting into the business of censorship – silencing conservatives and trying to brainwash the gullible. We see the liberals, parading as democratic socialist, Black Life Matterists or open socialists/communists. They see the prosperous country ready to be sucked and enslaved. They want to get in...

The third time would not be a charm. People on the left did very little to challenge Bill Clinton after he won the presidency in 1992. Two years later, a big Republican wave took control of Congress. People on the left did very little to challenge Barack Obama after he won the presidency in 2008. Two years later, a big Republican wave took control of Congress. Now, we’re being told that people on the left should pipe down and do little to challenge Joe Biden. But silence or merely faint dissent would enable the third Democratic president in four decades...

Archuleta was accused in 1971 of shooting Denver police officer Daril Cinquanta, who had pulled over Archuleta to check his ID, KMGH-TV reported. When Cinquanta tried to check for weapons, the two fought and Cinquanta was shot in the stomach, KMGH-TV said. Cinquanta, who since retired and started his own private investigation company, never stopped making phone calls and knocking on doors in hopes of tracking down Archuleta, KUSA-TV reported. His search paid off when a tipster called. Cinquanta hopes to visit Archuleta when he is back in custody in Colorado. “I would love to sit down and talk to...

Niccolò Machiavelli (1469-1527) wrote in The Prince (1505 in Italian, 1513 in English) what has been translated as “Never do an enemy a small injury.” If one is striking out at an opponent, one should make sure that the fatal blow is struck, successfully ending the confrontation. Machiavelli wrote that “the injury that is to be done to a man ought to be of such a kind that one does not stand in fear of revenge.”

[...] The sergeant pursued the suspect’s truck about a block south to Wilcox Street, where the suspect fired twice and hit the sergeant in the wrist, police said. Harrison District tactical officers in the area met up with the sergeant and started driving him east toward Stroger(Hospital), police said. “We have the officer in our car, we’re driving him to Stroger right now,” an officer radioed. “He’s got a gunshot wound to his left forearm.” On the way, the sergeant spotted the suspect and the tactical team started chasing the truck. “While en route to the hospital, the officer and...

Trump's apparent assassination of Soleimani is a massive, deliberate, and dangerous escalation of conflict with Iran. The President just put the lives of every person in the region - U.S. service members and civilians - at immediate risk. We need de-escalation now.

LAS VEGAS — Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh got what he deserved when he was accused in his confirmation hearing of sexual assault — because of his role in investigating the Clintons in the 1990s, former President Bill Clinton suggested. "He didn't have any problem making us put up with three years of Vince Foster nonsense that was a total charade," Clinton, 72, said Sunday during a joint appearance with his wife Hillary at the Park Theater in Las Vegas during the last stop in the 10-event "An Evening With the Clintons” speaking tour. A childhood friend of Bill Clinton,...

In this shameful season of partisan lies, it is nearly impossible to run down every deceit before it lands on the lips of some lusty mob, where it becomes a rallying cry to chase decency, dissent and free speech from the public square. Look at this weekend’s mobs of protesters — many of them paid by hugely wealthy and powerful special interests — that thronged the streets around the Capitol and Supreme Court to shout down any difference of opinion. Jackbooted hippies jeered, harassed and intimidated anyone who hesitated to swear fealty to their warped worldview and twisted lies. No...
