My daughter and son-in-law took me to Costco today. I haven’t been there in probably 15 yrs. I told her I needed green tea and she says this “Matcha” Japanese tea, is supposed to be really good for you. So I bought some. Yuck! I put 1/2 teaspoon in 8 oz of hot water like it said. There were dregs left at the bottom. She then tells me to watch a video. Apparently you are to have a special whisk (or you can use a battery powered thingy) to froth it all up and then drink it from a bowl so it flows all over your tongue and not just the middle like happens when you drink from a cup. Water is to only be 160 degrees. What a big tado for me to have some green tea. Now I have this big bag of green powder. :-( Oh and one video said some people get sick if they drink it on a empty stomach so eat first. I will keep on trying it though.

"Natalie just took me for a spin in the Mustang convertible."

I bet that was really fun. I always thought Mustangs especially convertabiles were the coolest ever.

Yesterday was my monthly lunch out with my youngest daughter and son-in-law. Afterwards they took me to see an attraction here in the Tri-Cities where I live but had never been to. It is the Carosel Of Dreams. When it was first built they bought a tile for $150 now they want $500 for that size. Wow!!!! Mike & Lori Picicci.

"The story of the Gesa Carousel of Dreams is one of discovery, restoration, and community spirit, bringing an antique carousel to the Tri-Cities, Washington. Carved by Charles Carmel in 1910, the carousel was once a fixture at Silver Beach Amusement Park in Michigan but fell into disrepair and was stored for decades. Thanks to Ken Johanning, Phil Slusser, and a dedicated team of volunteers, the carousel was rediscovered, restored, and reopened in Kennewick in 2014, providing a beloved community attraction. An Antique Treasure Origin: The carousel was carved in 1910 by Charles Carmel, a notable carousel artisan, and originally operated at Silver Beach Amusement Park in St. Joseph, Michigan. Rediscovery: After years in storage, the carousel was discovered by Ken Johanning and Phil Slusser, who recognized its potential and brought it to the Tri-Cities. A Community Dream Restoration: Over many years, a dedicated group of volunteers and experts worked to restore the 108-year-old hand-carved horses to their museum-caliber glory. Community Project: The project became a testament to community passion, involving fundraising and collaboration to realize the vision of bringing the carousel to life in the Tri-Cities. Grand Opening: The Gesa Carousel of Dreams officially opened its doors in Kennewick in 2014, fulfilling a long-held dream for the community. A Legacy of Memories A Modern Marvel: Now housed at the Southridge Sports and Events Complex, the carousel includes 45 horses, three chariots, and new figures like a Washington State University Cougar and a University of Washington Husky."

I decided I would ride. My daughter laughed so hard she just about peed herself as I couldn't get my short fat self and leg up over the horses butt. They had to bring me a step-stool. Arms are to darn short to even catch the golden ring. Lol

Wow! You have a busy life. You do knit beautiful sweaters.

I am complaining about the heat but it will go from that to, to darn cold. :-( I want to have a pleasant medium temp?

That sounds like a very interesting course to be taking at Hillsdale.

Thank you norsky for your very generous offer.

I do have central air. I am just doing a lot of complaining. To my children it seems cool enough in my house. This old bodies thermoregulation system is causing me to feel hot.

Thanks again for your offer but I will pass.

I don’t think this long of a hot spell has been normal for here. At least I don’t remember it being this long.

    I just saw this.

“BREAKING: The White House released a statement clarifying that Trump is not letting in 600,000 Chinese students — he’s continuing existing policy while negotiating a trade deal.”

“600,000 references a two year extension of the current 300,000.”

“There is no increase in visas.”
    https://x.com/_johnnymaga/status/1961112044582715718

Still in my book 300,000 is a LOT. I had no idea they were letting any in.

    “Have we been snookered?”

I sure hope not but if he was really serious about letting 600,000 Chinese in to go to school here and the government buying into a company something/someone has gotten to him.

I haven’t been keeping close track of the news but I did hear President Trump said something about letting 600,000 chinese go to college here. Was that true or just the Fake media twisting what he actually said?

    "Weather heavenly!"

I wish I could say the same for here. Starting in June we were up in the 100's then 90's and some 80's and 70's July was the same. August has been terrible 100's and mid 90's all month except for yesterday it cooled down some because we had some rain and overcast. But it was back to 92 today.

My electric bill for the airconditioning for between June 20th and July 20th was $164.04. I don't want to see my next bill. I think they sold me a unit that was NOT sufficient for the size of my house. They said it was but it runs continually and I don't feel cooled off.

My youngest daughter and son-in-law went to the fair in Walla Walla, WA last night and had a great time meeting President Trump and Melania. LOL!!!!!

Hi everybody. I have been painting and watching Candance Owens on the Trudeaus. Everywhere you turn they are connected with pedophilia and incest. For me it is like watching a mystery.

It is good to hear that most of you are pretty well other than the old age stuff.

Here is the latest Acrylic painting I did. I saw a picture and it made me smile so I decided to try and paint it.

“My favorite painting of yours was a train pulling into the station-using acrylics(?)”

No! That was done in oils. I only did oils way back then.

I hope you are recovering well from your gallblader surgery.

My legs hurt so bad when I walk, but thank God that is really my only problem other then the low oxygen level.

Watercolor was not my thing. I might try again sometime though. I switched to Acrylics because they are more like oils but not as messy and you don't have to clean up with turpentine.

Here is my first try. It is from a video I took while at the beach in Oregon in March. This is from Depot Bay.

It is fuzzy because I enlarged it so you could see it better. The pinky yellow is the wall I hung it on. Although it is not a pink wall.
