I request your prayers for my wife, Agnes, who had a minor heart attack this afternoon caused by a blocked coronary artery. She underwent a cardiac catherization and is fine. She was awake and talking with the EMTs and doctors all the way though. She is tired but says she feels much better. She will be in the hospital at least until Thursday evening.

My mother in law, almost 91 years old, is in her final days I believe. Until days ago, she had been successfully hiding from the public the fact that she's been battling cancer for the past 8 years. She's been giving speeches, getting awards, getting filmed/interviewed, planning events for later in the year, and being her feisty self. Earlier this evening, our pastor and his wife were involved in a terrible auto accident near Rockford, Illinois. Carlton is 67, and Lily is 65. Neither have been in good health for quite some time, and Lily suffered a major stroke several months ago which has left her unable to feed or care for herself.Both Carlton and Lily have suffered multiple fractures of the ribs and hips as a result of this accident.
