Christy Kabat was part of the march Saturday evening when she got into an altercation with a driver who was stopped in the street by the protest, according to Mayor Kabat. The driver "came very close" to hitting her and nearby protestors, said the mayor, who wasn't at the protests himself. When Christy reminded the driver that they were protesting "peacefully," he then sprayed her with pepper spray or mace. "She's pretty shook up," Mayor Kabat said. "She feels responsible because she's like, 'Well I should have just let the jerk drive away.'"

Remember this week when it comes time to vote in November. LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — Several LAPD cars have been vandalized as thousands of protestors converge in the Fairfax District, calling for change after the deadly arrest of George Floyd in Minneapolis on Monday. At least two police cruisers were set on fire. The demonstration, planned by Black Lives Matter Los Angeles, drew crowds to Pan Pacific Park by afternoon. PITTSBURGH — Crowds of people are gathering across the Pittsburgh area to rally in response to the death of George Floyd in Minnesota. Floyd died while in police custody earlier this week. Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was arrested Friday and charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter in Floyd’s death. Breonna Taylor’s death brought together hundreds of protesters in downtown Louisville on Thursday night to demand justice for Taylor, the unarmed African American woman who was shot and killed by Louisville Metro Police officers in March. The protest started out peacefully before turning violent, with at least seven people shot and wounded by an unknown assailant or assailants. Police officers at the protest did not fire their guns, according to LMPD. One person who was shot is in “critical” condition, police said. (WHAM) - A man was arrested after Monroe County Sheriff's deputies said he blocked a woman in with his car and threatened her in Pittsford. On May 16, Monroe County Sheriff's deputies were called to French Road in Pittsford around 1:45 p.m. When they arrived, a woman said she had left a 'RestartROC' rally to protest against businesses being closed in the Rochester area.
