AT least eight people have died in the latest wave of flooding in Queensland and dozens more are missing. Premier Anna Bligh this morning said eight people had died in the floods and another 11 people are confirmed missing near Toowoomba. The deputy commissioner of police Ian Stewart said 72 people had been reported as missing throughout the whole region. Ms Bligh said the dead included a mother and two children whose car had been swept away in the floodwaters.
