SANTA YNEZ, Calif., September 26, 2006 - Southern California broadcasting pioneer Ralph Story has died. The Emmy award winning reporter and anchor lost a long battle today with emphysema. Story started in broadcasting in Buffalo in 1948 and went on to work at KNX radio in Los Angeles in the late 1940s. He then moved to CBS's sister TV station in Los Angeles, KNXT, now KCBS-TV in the early 1960s.
