What was it like to spend virtually every waking hour as Barack Obama’s personal aide, responsible for everything from keeping him on schedule to providing him with mouthwash, aspirin and the latest headline news? A small gathering of graduate students and faculty from the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs got the inside scoop last week from Reggie Love, former "body man" to Obama, during a July 18 lunch hosted by Luskin School Dean Frank Gilliam. Love talked about his path to the White House and the valuable life lessons he learned. Later that evening, he spoke at an Artists...

"Obama’s Former Bodyman: President Left Situation Room to Play ’15 Games’ of Cards During Day of Bin Laden Raid" On the day Navy SEALs were raiding Osama bin Laden’s compound in Pakistan and killing the 9/11 mastermind, President Obama didn’t spend every moment in the White House situation room. Instead, the commander in chief played cards in a private dining room that day, too — about 15 games of spades, in fact, his former personal assistant Reggie Love recently told a UCLA forum. “Most people were like down in the Situation Room and [Obama] was like, ‘I’m not going to...

But former Obama “body man” Reggie Love painted another picture from that day, too.“Most people were like down in the Situation Room and [President Obama] was like, ‘I’m not going to be down there, I can’t watch this entire thing,’”...

Cue up the indignant reactions: President Barack Obama and his family are about to go on an eight-day vacation on the Massachusetts island of Martha's Vineyard, an elite playground for the East Coast wealthy set. Often the criticism of a president's vacation is partisan in nature, which is why White House spokesman Jay Carney dismissed a question about it when asked whether Obama's vacation was too extravagant. "I would just check what they said six years ago," he said, referring to a period when a Republican president, George W. Bush, was in office. Bush, who vacationed at his Texas ranch...

Reggie Love posted several tweets yesterday, highlighting photos of his trip to South Africa. It is not a stretch to believe that Love traveled with the Obama entourage on the $100 million dollar trip, where the president pledged billions of taxpayer dollars to 'Power Africa,' a new initiative to expand the continent's energy capabilities.

Live! In Black and White! And Living Color! It’s Lady M at the Sci-Bono Discovery Centre in Johannesburg! No need to adjust your screen, you are perceiving this accurately. What’s that expression? “It is what it is.” And what it is, is a blouse with black side insets and a front in a navy blue and white pattern. The skirt is some type of fabric collage in green, yellow and white. And if you don’t like it, you’re probably a racist. It’s very trendy. See those little white hashy-marks on the blouse? Yes! They’re exactly what you think they they are: clustered...

Columnist Charles Krauthammer on the “O’Reilly Factor” Tuesday night said the “biggest scandal of all” regarding the Benghazi attacks on Sept. 11, 2012, has yet to emerge. “I think there is a bigger story here, here’s the one that will in time come out,” Krauthammer said. ”The biggest scandal of all, the biggest question is: What was the president doing in those eight hours?” “He had a routine meeting at five o’clock. He never after, during the eight hours when our guys have their lives in danger, he never called the Secretary of Defense, he never calls the Chairman of...
