The New Jersey governor’s race is still up in the air thanks to vote-counting debacles plaguing several counties — including in a key area where dozens of machines were shut down before ballots were counted. A mistake by a poll worker led machines in 56 voting districts in Essex County, the state’s second-most populated region, to be turned off before their ballots were tallied, local election officials said. The flub has helped throw a wrench into calling the stunningly tight race between Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy and GOP foe Jack Ciattarelli.

Tuesday is Election Day in the California recall election, which will decide the fate of Gov. Gavin Newsom (D), the 11th recall election in the history of the state. Voting has been going on for nearly a month already, thanks to early voting and the state’s decision to extend universal vote-by-mail rules adopted in 2020 during the depths of the coronavirus pandemic. Polls will close at 8 p.m. PT, though ballots will be accepted for seven days if they were postmarked by September 14th.

It's been obvious to me from the beginning that these vaccines would do this, especially in people who are low in zinc as zinc regulates blood clotting and platelet function. I have a doctor friend who I believe is suffering from this condition right now, having severe headaches and high blood pressure ever since taking the Pfizer shots. Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton cautioned former President Donald Trump and other elected officials from questioning election results. After claiming Russian President Vladimir Putin “helped elect Trump” in 2016 instead of her, Clinton said suggesting the 2020 presidential election was rigged or not conducted fairly is doing the work of Putin. She explained Putin wants to “sow distrust” and “sow divisiveness” in the United States.

MSNBC “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough on Friday delivered a long-winded rant directed at Republicans for continuing to not accept the 2020 presidential election results. After noting Republicans take exception to people disrespecting the American flag by kneeling for the anthem but not what the flag stands for itself, a screaming Scarborough urged those who still think the election was rigged to “just get the hell out.”

Governor Larry Hogan (R-MD) said Monday on CNN that Republicans who continue dispute the results of last month’s presidential election are embarrassing the party. Anchor Jake Tapper said, “Governor Hogan, you have long acknowledged the reality of what happened on election day. Gov. Brian Kemp certified the state's slate of 16 presidential electors, but acknowledged that will still permit President Donald Trump's legal team to officially call for a recount. After FOX 35 News noticed errors in the state's report on positivity rates, the Florida Department of Health said that some laboratories have not been reporting negative test result data to the state.
