Saif al-Islam, Muammar Qaddafi's eldest son who has been on the run across Africa since his father's death, is weighing the options for his survival and the preservation of the fortune the Qaddafis amassed in their 42-year rule over Libya. One would be to turn himself into the International Criminal Court in The Hague which seeks his arrest on a crimes against humanity warrant issued in June. Saturday, Oct. 29, the ICC Prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo confirmed informal negotiations through intermediaries for his surrender although Saif al-Islam insists he is innocent. The Libya interim government has put in a prior claim...

(CBS/AP) The son of Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi accused Western powers on Sunday of making a "big mistake" by carrying out airstrikes against the country. "One day you'll wake up and you will find out that you were supporting the wrong people," Saif al-Islam Qaddafi told ABC's "This Week." His father vowed a "long war" after the U.S. and European militaries blasted his forces with airstrikes and more than 100 cruise missiles, hitting air defenses and at least two major air bases, and shaking the Libyan capital Tripoli with explosions and anti-aircraft fire. The strikes gave immediate, if temporary, relief...

"The Libyan Prince will be powerful in the West, the French will become so inflamed of Arabs, learned in letters he will agree to translate the Arab language into French." ~ Nostradamus III.27 In this quatrain Nostradamus talks about a "Libyan Prince" who would play an important mediatory role during a French-Arab discord. At this moment none fits the description better than Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi, whose name means the "Sword of Islam", the second son and heir apparent of Libyan President Colonel Muammar Gaddafi. It appears that a Libyan Prince (i.e. not yet a King), who is well educated as...

Obama amputates our nuclear arms By: Charles Krauthammer ...snippet...Under President Obama’s new policy, however, if the state that has just attacked us with biological or chemical weapons is “in compliance with the Non-Proliferation Treaty,” explained Gates, then “the U.S. pledges not to use or threaten to use nuclear weapons against it.” Imagine the scenario: Hundreds of thousands are lying dead in the streets of Boston after a massive anthrax or nerve gas attack. The president immediately calls in the lawyers to determine whether the attacking state is in compliance with the NPT. If it turns out that the attacker...
