During Tuesday’s broadcast of “Morning Joe” on MSNBC, host Joe Scarborough slammed the state of the GOP under former President Donald Trump’s control. Scarborough, pointing to Trump-backed Senate candidates Dr. Mehmet Oz in Pennsylvania and JD Vance in Ohio, argued there wouldn’t be a “sane Republican Party until Trumpism is crushed, destroyed and swept away.”

In the last 12 months, I’m fairly certain that most of us have questioned our own sanity a time or two as we try to understand how to navigate the ever-changing regulations and guidance being disseminated not just by Dr. Fauci and the Center for Disease Control, but also from state and local government officials and our well-meaning family and friends. In my opinion, there are many more questions that need to be answered about the nature of COVID-19 and its impact on our future health before we will feel comfortable to live our lives without anxiety and foreboding. However,...

Let me issue the standard disclaimer of psychiatrists who discuss the mental health of public figures: I have not personally examined President Trump. Now, let me put to rest the concerns of Sen. Al Franken and political commentators John Oliver and Andrew Sullivan and anyone else who publicly or privately has questioned the president’s sanity: Donald Trump is stone cold sane. When a man acquires billions of dollars through complex real estate transactions, invests in many countries, goes on to phenomenal success in television and turns his name into a worldwide brand, it is very unlikely that he is mentally...

In 1981, the Soviet-front U.S. Peace Council held its second national conference. Endorsers included Democratic Rep. Danny K. Davis, one of Obama’s associates in Chicago, and David Cortright of a group known as SANE, for the Committee for a Sane Nuclear Policy. Rep. Davis got an award from the Communist Party in 2012 and the major media ignored it. Jeremy Segal recorded video of the Democratic Representative getting the communist award—and still the media ignored it Today Cortright is the Associate Director of Programs and Policy Studies of the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies at the University of Notre...

Last month at the CPAC Convention in Washington DC Andrew Breitbart dropped this bomb on Team Obama: Andrew announced, “I’ve got video by the way of Barack Obama from his college years.” Video via Infowars: “I’ve got video from his college days that show you why racial division and class warfare are central to what hope and change was sold in 2008 – the videos are going to come out… The video shows Obama meeting “a bunch of silver pony tails” like Bill and Bernardine Dohrn (Weather Underground members), who radicalized him.”

It was recently observed that Ron Paul was to the left of Obama on national security and the best evidence for that statement can be found when one year ago Ron Paul joined forces with Barney Frank on a proposal to gut national defense via a panel of experts, quite a few of whom were tied to George Soros. In July 2010, Barney Frank and Ron Paul co-authored a Huffington Post article rolling out their Sustainable Defense Task Force. The Task Force “consisting of experts on military expenditures that span the ideological spectrum” would recommend a trillion dollars in defense...

At the Republican Presidential Candidate debate, Michele Bachmann stepped on a hornet's nest when she strongly criticized Rick Perry for issuing an Executive Order mandating Texas school girls to be vaccinated with Merck's HPV vaccine, Gardasil. Controversy has swirled around this vaccine since Merck's aggressive unethical marketing tactics were uncovered in 2007. These included pay offs to public officials. Hundreds of Islamic centers in the United States have become a hot-bed of extremist activity; they promote violence, terrorism and hatred against America. “Our initial investigation has concluded there are between 400 to 500 radical Islamic centers in the U.S.,” said David Gaubatz, the director of counterintelligence and counterterrorism for the Society of Americans for National Existence. “In those places, they preach an extreme version of Islam that says America and the West is the enemy. They espouse violence, hatred and the need for terrorism.” Gaubatz is a former senior U.S. intelligence official, who now works for the Mapping Shari’a...

Psychosis not seen in mother who drowned children July 12, 2006 - 1:08PM A psychiatrist who treated Andrea Yates about three months before she drowned her five children told a jury in Texas that she never appeared psychotic. That was not even at an office appointment two days before the killings, a Houston court hearing her retrial was told. Dr Mohammad Saeed, who treated Yates at a mental hospital for 24 days in April and May 2001, said today he nonetheless prescribed an anti-psychotic medication because Yates' husband said she had previously responded well to it.

No nuclear power will attack another one for fear of committing national suicide. That is the familiar logic of Mutually Assured Destruction (M-A-D), which kept the US safe but pretty nervous over fifty years of the Cold War. Stalin and Mao rattled some fearsome sabers, and Castro tried to sneak nuclear missiles into Cuba. But as saner voices took over in the Communist powers, the Cold War settled down to a long, drawn-out struggle. Nuclear deterrence created stability. Mohammed El-Baradei, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, has just been quoted as saying that Tehran is only a few...
