Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity. Surely some revelation is at hand; Surely the Second Coming is at hand. The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out When a vast image out of Spritus Mundi Troubles my sight: somewhere in the sands of the desert. A shape with lion body and the head...

A couple of days ago I sent the following email to everyone that I know. - - - - - - - Dear friends, I hope this email finds you all well. For many years I have been interested in studying biblical prophesy along with the prophesies of the saints and the writings of scholars of prophesy. There are many people who are not at ease with this topic and do not want to hear anything about it. Many people put these things out of their mind, as something that will happen after they are long gone, and refuse to...
  • Do resurrected human persons wear clothes?

In the Creed we profess that we believe “in the resurrection of the dead and life everlasting.” That will take place at the end of the world at the Second Coming of Christ. The saved will shine like the sun and dwell in the New Jerusalem forever. A question that has been on my mind for a long time, and for which I have not found an answer, is whether or not resurrected bodies will wear clothes. Will they be clothed or naked? Let me list some reasons for and against. 1) They will be clothed. When the resurrected, glorified...
  • The Character and End of the Present Age [Baptist, Evangelical, Pent/Charis, and/or Dispensational]

THE CHARACTER AND END OF THE PRESENT AGE. BY PASTOR FULLER GOOCH. (At the Nottingham Conference, May, 1894.) Let me read to you three or four verses of Scripture, taken from the 13th chapter of Matthew, beginning at the thirty-seventh verse, "He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man." Read to the end of the forty-third verse. The word "world" in Scripture, as found in our [King James] version, has different meanings, and it should be understood that in the original Scriptures we have several different words which are all translated...

Right now, much of the political world is obsessing over a series of new polls indicating that the gap between Barack Obama and John McCain is shrinking.A just-released Quinnipiac survey, for example, shows McCain cutting Obama’s lead from nine points (50%-41%) to five (47%-42%), while the latest LA Times/Bloomberg sounding pegs Obama’s edge at a mere two points (45%-43%)--down from 12 points (49% to 37%) last month. The new numbers from Reuters/Zogby even have McCain ahead by five (46%-41%). But according to Tom Holbrook, professor of political science at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and author of "Do Campaigns Matter?", these...

Seven Prophecies That Must Be Fulfilled Before Jesus Christ's Return Previous generations have thought that Jesus Christ would return in their lifetimes, but they were proven wrong. Many people alive today think that Christ's return is imminent. Certainly, the Bible contains prophecies that could not have been fulfilled until this generation. by Melvin Rhodes Shortly before His crucifixion and resurrection, Jesus Christ delivered a major prophecy of end-time events, recorded in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21. He was asked by His disciples: "When will these things be? And what will be the sign of your coming, and of...

How might the attacks against the Jews, particularly those of the past century, relate to biblical prophecy about the role of the Jews in the Second Coming? For the fact that Christ " will come again in glory, to judge the living and the dead", in the words of the Nicene Creed, is a dogma of the Catholic faith. [1] It is attested to by the words of Jesus Himself, recorded numerous times in the New Testament (Matthew 16:27; Mark 8:38; Luke 9:26; Matthew 24:30; Mark 13:26; Luke 21:27). As described in Matthew 24:30-3 1: [T]hen all the tribes of...

The Biblical Map to Jesus Christs Return Maps show the way from where you are to your final destination. The Bible provides the only spiritual map to our ultimate destiny. Doesn’t it make good sense to plan your life's journey by learning how to read the genuine biblical map? by Jerold Aust You and I may take ordinary road maps for granted, but the history of mapmaking shows that ancient peoples carefully relied on their relatively primitive maps. Noted author and professor John Noble Wilford wrote: "Before Europeans reached the Pacific, the Marshall Islanders were making stick charts. Sticks were...
  • Preaching a Pre-Tribulation Rapture Weakens the Church

Mark it down as biblical truth: There is no pre-tribulation rapture. However, untold thousands believe in the "secret rapture of the church" prior to the tribulation period. This is because untold thousands don't want to have to think of suffering through a tribulation time frame. The late Corrie ten Boom called this pre-trib rapture teaching the "American doctrine." Go figure. The belief in a secret rapture of believers before the tribulation is also because of a best-seller, "The Late, Great Planet Earth," by Hal Lindsey which was set loose in the l960s. It has been a paperback aggressively pushed by...

There have been plenty of books, movies, false doctrines, and the like which promote an antichrist. These materials promote someone who will rise up in opposition to our Lord which will be during the time the world is going to end. A newspaper article from 1999 states: “Jerry Falwell said the Antichrist is probably alive today and is a male Jew. Falwell also told about 1,500 people at a conference in Kingsport, Tenn., on Thursday that he believes the second coming of Christ probably will be within 10 years” (Williamsburg, VA., Associated Press, January 15, 1999; Falwell: Antichrist May Be...

In my first article on the Fall High Holy Days, we saw that the Feast of Trumpets is intimately linked by both Yeshua and Sha’ul with Yeshua’s Second Coming on the clouds of heaven, and saw that this corresponded with the expectations of the rabbis. Now we come to the second of the Fall Feastdays, and the holiest day of the Jewish—which is to say, Biblical—calendar: Yom Kippur takes place on the tenth of Tishri, nine days after Rosh Hashanah. On that day, the high priest would put on a special coat of white linen and carry out a very...

As many of you already know, we are entering into the fall High Holy Days, comprised of the Feasts of Trumpets, Atonement, and Tabernacles. Just as the spring Feastdays celebrate the First Coming of Messiah Yeshua, and Shavuot (Pentecost) celebrates the giving of the Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit) to the Ekklesia in between the visitations of Yeshua, the Fall Feastdays look forward to His Second Coming—and in particular, the Feast of Trumpets looks forward to His Glorious Appearance in the clouds of heaven! The day which this year falls on September 23 (beginning at sundown the previous night) is known...

Right now there is huge debate going on about whether the church will go through the tribulation. After studying some passages that seem to convincingly lean toward a pre-trib rapture. First of all, Jesus in Luke 17:26, states that "And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of Man." We learn of two key individuals during that time Enoch and Noah. Enoch who some have seen as a type of the church is translated before the Flood while Noah is delivered through the world-wide judgment. We also find...

BURNABY, December 13, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A British Columbia man, David Bedford, has undertaken a personal campaign against the presence Christianity in public life in general and the Conservative Party of Canada in particular, claiming that a vote for Stephen Harper's Conservatives is a vote for "religious extremism." Claiming to be an NDP supporter, Bedford irritated police across Canada last week by setting up websites with names similar to those of local police units that automatically redirect visitors to the NDP campaign website. The CBC reported that the look-alike sites, such as http://www.reginapolice.ca, http://www.saskatoonpolice.ca, and http://www.edmontonpolice.ca, are now re-routed to...

Moscow, August 9, Interfax - Russia’s Chief Rabbi Berel Lazar believes the Earth will soon see the coming a Messiah to reward everyone according to his deserts. ‘We know that he (Messiah - IF) is very near at hand, but he needs not only to be born but also to come. The Messiah may well have been born already, but unless he is ordered by God he cannot reveal himself with God’s help and change the world for the better’, the rabbi said in an interview published by the Gazeta daily on Tuesday. Lazar explained this assumptions about the imminent...

Christ’s Second Coming (2) "Thy Kingdom Come?" Doug Focht, Jr.In our last article, we looked at the premillennial view regarding Christ’s second coming. This is the view which holds that Christ will come first (pre), then set up His promised kingdom on earth, and reign for 1,000 years (a "millennium"). The Scriptures which are used to prove this theory are often highly symbolic and visionary. Premillennialists rely heavily upon the prophecies of Daniel, Zechariah, Ezekiel, and Revelation.Common sense would say that in cases where a "plain-spoken," non-visionary passage speaks on the same subject as the visionary, symbolic passage, the "plain-spoken"...

Christ’s Second Coming (1) Doug Focht, Jr.On the freeway, hundreds of cars are going in all directions without drivers; in the middle of a football game—zap!—suddenly, the quarterback disappears; the UN is in turmoil; millions of people have vanished from the earth with no trace, no warning!1 Thus Hal Lindsay, in his book, The Late, Great Planet Earth, describes an event called the rapture in which millions of people will be taken from earth and transported to heaven. Maybe you've heard talk of this and wonder what it's all about.Although there are some variations within the premillenial theology of Christ's...

What I believe about the end of the age. This is a hard topic for me. I have had difficulty with this. I have been taught a lot of things concerning the return of Christ. I have heard it all pre-tribulation, post tribulation, mid-tribulation and the preterus point of view. Only one of these can be true. There are teachings out there that say there is no rapture, just because the word rapture doesn’t appear in the bible. The fact of the matter is rapture is a Greek word for caught up. Funny how churches that will say this word...

ONE OF LIBERALS' chief motivations these days is fear of the religious right. Ask people on the left to explain their loathing of President Bush or the Republican party, and the answer often comes around to Jerry Falwell, evangelicals, theocracy, and so on. The left's fear of conservative Christians is fed by a steady stream of news stories. Some are accurate: religious conservatives oppose gay marriage. Some are fanciful: Sponge Bob Square Pants has been accused of being a homosexual. And some are simply false. The left's most recent salvo against the religious right was launched by an obscure online...

Upon a little research I find that last December 26th there was a horrific earthquake in Bam, Iran where upwards of 30-50K people died. Fast forward to a year later, December 26, 2004. The death toll is still rising. What makes on go hmmmm, is that both events happened right after Christmas and both events happend in areas where CHristianity is not prevelant. Does this mean anything? Who knows.
