  • Cruz Comes Out for Abortion: Even If Abortion is Illegal 'Women Who Get Them' Should Not Be Punished

The Cruz campaign has gone on record supporting women getting abortions. The campaign says there should be no punishment for those women if abortion is illegal. Deadline Hollywood reports: Ted Cruz campaign chairman Chad Sweet...this afternoon told CNN’s Jake Tapper that Cruz believes in punishment for doctors who perform abortions, not the women who get them. Pro-life supporters are scratching their heads. If they succeed in getting a pro-life amendment, Ted Cruz appears to be saying that the amendment should contain some kind of non-culpability clause, so that Congress can write any law resulting from a Life Amendment in a...

I’m demanding that Michelle Fields charge me with hacking her computer. She won’t, of course, because I didn’t do it. She only charges people for brushing past her at a campaign event. Nothing serious like hacking. In December of 2015 Fields falsely accused me of hacking her computer and has continued to repeat the lie even after her bosses told her to cut it out. She had sent me a LinkedIn request and I called her. We had a friendly conversation before she tweeted out to the world that I had hacked her. Seriously. I texted her and said something...

Twenty-four years ago, Donald Trump came upon a man being beaten by a thug. Being the brave man that he is, Trump knew he had to step in to save the day… He owns a plane and a helicopter, is the head of a multi-billion dollar empire, plans to take on illegal immigration all on his own, has taken on 16 other politicians and risen to the top of the GOP polls, and even has his own alter-ego of sorts — The Donald. At times, it seems like Donald Trump is a superhero.

Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina may not be a liberal, but she certainly appears to be a fan of the liberal arts. The 2016 contender said Monday that her college degree in medieval history made her uniquely qualified to combat ISIS and other terrorist groups. “My degree in medieval history and philosophy has come in handy,” Fiorina said at a town hall in Windham, N.H., “because what ISIS wants to do is drive us back to the Middle Ages, literally.”

A group of demonstrators representing over 40 different organizations gathered outside the White House to demand that Meriam Ibrahim, a Sudanese Christian woman sentenced to death for apostasy in Sudan, be freed. Dozens of protesters, including U.S. Congressman Trent Franks of Arizona and U.S. Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, stood outside 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. on a warm overcast Thursday morning to demand the freeing of Ibrahim. In an interview with The Christian Post, Senator Cruz said that the effort to free Meriam Ibrahim was part of a grander need for the United States to address international religious liberty. "There are...

Open Letter to Jimmy Fallon: I have long been a fan of yours, from your SNL character Sully (“Tommy, please tell me you got that!”) to the best skit of all time, Cowbell. You appear in one of my top 10 movie picks (Almost Famous) and I much enjoyed the uniqueness of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. And last month I was delighted to see you take on the enormous role of replacing Jay Leno as host of the Tonight Show. The Tonight Show is an American institution that seems to belong to all of us. And it was like...

Obama also said he and new Iranian President Hassan Rouhani had exchanged letters about the situation in Syria and that the Iranians understand the US concern about a potential nuclear-armed Iran "is a far larger issue" for the United States. SNIP "Well, nobody around the world takes seriously the idea that the rebels were the perpetrators of this," Obama said.

Today is now officially “Loyalty Day”, where all of the tax slaves of the United States can celebrate their obedience to government. In recent memory Mayday is associated with workers protests and things of that nature, but it is important to remember that people in various culture have been celebrating Mayday for most of recorded history. Far before the middle ages, pagan cultures in Europe would celebrate mayday, and even they drew their traditions from older astrotheological cultures. This point on our calender now means many different things to many different people, and now you can add another one to...
  • Lady Gaga turned down $1 million to perform at RNC

Not even a million dollars could convince Lady Gaga to perform at last summer's Republican National Convention. The snub by the pop star is included in a lawsuit filed by a powerful Republican nonprofit fundraising organization, American Action Network, against a vendor whose job was to stage entertainment just outside the doors to the GOP's convention in August. Documents filed with the lawsuit show that other entertainers also said "no thanks" to appearing at the GOP convention including Dolly Parton and the rapper Pitbull, who Republicans hoped to feature at an event for the Hispanic Leadership Network. Many entertainers, including...

Jeb Bush in 2016? (CNN) -- For all of our post-2012 election talk about the changing culture, the changing demographics and, perhaps, a changing party, preliminary thoughts out of D.C. about the 2016 election have us headed toward not much change at all: Clinton vs Bush ... again. I am as intrigued by the prospects of these two juggernauts, Jeb and Hillary, locking ideological horns as I am repulsed by the thought of half of my life being dominated by two family names. One, Clinton, has risen from the ashes after the White House. The other name, Bush, is so...

IMHO, early voting has gotten WAAAAAY out of hand. Being given a month to vote is overkill - if something should happen to change your mind in the interim, TOO BAD. The deed is done. I think that a voting weekend might be appropriate, plenty of time - and if you want to vote early for any reason, you have to vote absentee. Either that, or having the option to change your early vote right up to Election Day ... Any thoughts?

At an event dedicated to poetry’s influence on American culture, Lonnie Rashid Lynn, Jr., who goes by the name “Common,” will be one of the guests of President and Mrs. Obama. WASHINGTON, Aug. 20, 2006 – Army Spec. Crystal Davis proved her steely grit the night the up-armored wrecker she was driving in Iraq hit an improvised explosive devise. Trapped in the destroyed vehicle with her right foot nearly severed, she told her cohorts she’d hoist herself out rather than risk having them come in. “I think about it every day,” Davis told country music singer-songwriter Rockie Lynne Aug. 18, at a dinner for wounded servicemembers and their families. “Every moment that goes by a part will flash back. Before the real news, there's a little interesting background news we should take care of. This comes from the "Be careful who you blame department," because everything is not always exactly as it looks. We've been hoodwinked. Yeah, you, me, all of us. It appears to me that there is a major scam afoot. It's kind of funny, in a sick sort of way; but it is a flimflam nonetheless. First, we know that Dan Rather and his cohorts at CBS have a major bias. Among other things, they "fixed" a certain "60 Minutes" program many years ago to pump...

WASHINGTON — A white powder found in a package opened at John Kerry's presidential campaign headquarters Thursday was harmless and could have been garlic powder, authorities said of an apparent hoax that forced police to seal off the building. "It appears to be some kind of garlic powder, commonly used for seasoning foods," said Alan Etter, a spokesman for the Washington, D.C., Fire Department. The package, containing two letter-sized envelopes, was turned over to the FBI for further investigation.
