WATERBURY — Police said the husband of Sgt. Betsy Valentin of Waterbury confessed to falsely reporting her death in Iraq. Late Saturday night, police had a warrant for his arrest. The husband, Edward Valentin, lied and will face felony charges, said Neil O'Leary, the city's acting police chief.
