Among the New Hampshire electorate as a whole, Palin is viewed favorably by just 28 percent, according to a recent survey by the Democratic automated pollster Public Policy Polling. In PPP surveys in 31 states over the last six months, just three states had smaller proportions of Palin fans, and all were in the northeast: New Jersey, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. (Though the firm is partisan, its results generally track with polls by other organizations. PPP’s results were used in this analysis in the interest of consistency across different states.) Sarah Palin already thinks she can beat President Obama in 2012. Now, she wants America to know she is more patriotic than him, too. In an excerpt from her new book "America By Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith and Flag," the Tea Party darling shows that her political mudslinging is in election year form, writing that the President and First Lady Michelle Obama don't love America. The Mama Grizzly growls that people who accuse Tea Partiers of racism "think America — at least America as it currently exists — is a fundamentally unjust and unequal country. Barack Obama seems to...

There appears to be a dearth of polling in the red hot GOP Senate Priamry in Delaware in which Tea Party backed Christine O'Donnell is challenging the entrenched elitist and very liberal Congressman, Mike Castle for the nomination to Joe Biden's old Senate seat. In fact, there is even less polling than was available in Alaska (unreliable as it was). As some of you know, I did two analyses of Joe Miller's trends on Facebook versus Lisa Murkowski's beginning on July 31. The links are below: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2570601/posts http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2573312/posts I did a further analysis on August 18, which reinforced an unmistakable...

Roger Ebert is nothing if he isn't a knee-jerk leftist, absolutely without a single original political or cultural thought in his head and his latest meandering post on the Sun-Times hosted Roger Ebert's Journal is a perfect example. His piece is titled "Ten things I know about the mosque" but it doesn't seem like there really are ten things nor are they all about the mosque. After reading his wandering post one is tempted to believe that the only reason he posted the thing was to find an excuse to attack Sarah Palin, someone that has nothing to do with...

A few days ago, I did a post in which I linked to an article about Sarah Palin. The article was published shortly after Palin was nominated for vice president. My purpose in citing the article was to say something about Palin and Israel. But I noticed something else in the article that I thought I’d bring up here. In the 2000 presidential cycle, Palin was mayor of Wasilla. And she was formally with . . . whose campaign? Steve Forbes’s. I think that most people think of Palin as a “social conservative,” as indeed she is. But she’s also...

I cannot tell how much of this outrage about Sarah Palin's endorsement of McCain is feigned by those who do not wish her well. It is not principally to those folks that this post is directed. To those conservatives who are genuinely disappointed by Sarah Palin's decision to support McCain, let me say that I think Rush and Mark Levin understand it and have said that it is a question of loyalty and that loyalty is a virtue. That makes sense to me and, personally, I would be a little put off if she did otherwise, since it would look...

Sarah Palin’s political action committee, facing scrutiny from the Federal Election Commission, revealed Monday that it had recently made contributions to a raft of mostly conservative Republicans, including Reps. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota and Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, Virginia gubernatorial candidate Bob McDonnell and Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Orrin Hatch of Utah. Those contributions, some of which were disclosed in a Friday FEC report, combined with earlier donations to the reelection campaigns of Sens. John McCain of Arizona and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, brought Palin’s committee, Sarah PAC, to the five-candidate contribution minimum necessary for it to...
