CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) - The West Virginia Education Association and American Federation of Teachers leaders say the statewide work stoppage will continue. Schools across West Virginia will be closed on Monday. The AFT-West Virginia, West Virginia Education Association, and the West Virginia School Service Personnel Association released the following statement:

Troopers said Ronnie Jackson, 67, had failed to lower the truck’s bed after leaving a construction zone. A dump truck driver was cited for careless driving Wednesday after he failed to lower the bed of his truck and it hit an overpass on Interstate 75 in Gainesville. Ronnie Jackson, 67, of Lake City, was cited after the accident, which occurred at 12:45 a.m. in the northbound lanes around Mile Marker 385, according to a Florida Highway Patrol media release. ASHEBORO — A Friday afternoon accident at the Sunset Avenue overpass in Asheboro caused traffic to be rerouted in and around the area. The incident was reported at 1 p.m. when a dump truck driven by Jeffrey J. Friedmann of Winston-Salem was traveling northbound on Interstate 73/74. He had just left the McDonald’s construction site on Dixie Drive. Egyptian fighter jets have struck militant camps following the deadly attack on Egypt’s Coptic Christians, President Abdel Fattah Sisi has announced.
