Americans spend billions of dollars celebrating Valentine’s Day every year, but inflation is forcing many to rethink how they honor the holiday this year. Nearly half— 46 percent — of Americans say inflation is impacting their Valentine’s Day plans, according to a new WalletHub survey. Valentine’s Day has become a day when merchants order people to give candy, cards and flowers to people they lust after. As I write this column, it's two days past Valentine's Day. When it's published, it will be nearly a week after the day.
