Allan Thomas, a well-informed advocate for restoring passenger rail service to our area, took his campaign to New Orleans last week. Speaking before the New Orleans city council he formally urged the Louisiana congressional delegation to work for funding the restoration of passenger service east of New Orleans. He says New Orleans plays a key role in getting this service back into operation.
