Email from Move America Forward ^ | November 12, 2005 | by Joseph Williams
Fellow Americans: I'm so very proud of my son who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He knew the mission was important, and he understood that the war in Iraq was central to the war on terrorism. Sadly, my son (Lance Cpl. Michael Jason Williams) lost his life in combat in this war. My life changed forever when I got a knock at my door, informing me that Michael had been killed in action. My son is my hero. As a father, I can't tell you what a gut-wrenching blow it was, and still is. Not a day goes by I...

email | 10/15/2005 | Howard Kaloogian - Move America Forward
Fellow Americans: For more than a year now I've been filling your email boxes with updates regarding Move America Forward's work to support our troops and their efforts to achieve victory in the war on terrorism. But now a new chapter in my life has begun to be written, and I must step back from my day-to-day role as the Founder and Co-Chairman of MAF and turn over full control to my great partner in the conservative movement, Melanie Morgan. I have decided to become a Republican candidate for U.S. Congress [ see: http://www.KaloogianForCongress.com ] in the seat being vacated...

    e-mail | 3 October 2005 (received 4 October) | Melanie Morgan
As you know, last week ABC executives removed me from the airwaves of KSFO 560 AM and the "Lee Rodgers & Melanie Morgan Show". I was deeply disappointed that despite the fact that our show was one of the highest rated morning programs in the Bay Area (one of the largest radio markets in the nation) that these ABC executives would act in such a manner. I cannot help but think they decided to punish me for my continued conservative activism. ABC also owns a liberal radio news/talk station in the San Francisco market and I find it hard to...

Hello all. I am the guy in the cowboy hat and Club G'itmo shirt on 24 September during the counter protest. Can the official Free Republic photographer post or send the pictures he took of me and Lindsey on Saturday (Club G'itmo and straw cowboy hat) as well as the one he took of me on Sunday (wearing ACLU Enemy of the State shirt)? Have not found them yet, but have found lots of other GREAT pictures. Also, I am the guy who alerted the police to a suspicious person, in the middle of the crowd, during G. Gordon Liddy's...

Kevin Martin AKA Free Republic Activist Par Excellence Trueblackman socks it to the nay-sayering terrorist supporting unwashed communist Sheehan worshipers and racists. The way he lays out the sequence of events when Katrina hit is a phenomonol explaination of the truth of the situation. His impassioned speech brought the audience to their feet with thunderous applause over and over again!

I do not agree with this author's criticisms of the pro-troop movement. It seems to me that if we took his advice and sat back and were silent, the media would still promote Cindy Sheehan and there would NEVER be any coverage of the fact that a growing number of Americans are willing to step forward and tell the anti-war contingent their actions are not supported and are harmful to our nation, our troops and their missions in the war against terrorism. The author, talk show host Eric Hogue [of a Salem affiliate], also takes aim at the SupportTheTroopsWeekend.org website,...

I arrived in DC yesterday to attend the Support Our Troops Rally. I would guess approx. 200 people were there to support our troops. We arrived at the "Mission Rally" around 12:30. From there the group moved a few blocks to our designated area to 'counter' protest the anti-American, anti-troops protesters. We were seperated by waist high railings and a police line. Our 'area' was about a block long infront of the J. Edgar Hoover Bldg. I don't know where the protesters march orginated but they arrived in our area around 2pm. We left shortly after 5pm at which time...

A Tale of Two DemonstrationsBy Ben JohnsonFrontPageMagazine.com | September 27, 2005 FOR THE FEW AMERICANS ENTERTAINING DOUBTS THAT CINDY SHEEHAN is just another grieving mom, the goofy grin she flashed Capitol police as they forcibly removed her from an illegal sit-in in front of the White House yesterday said it all: normal, grief-stricken parents don’t rejoice as they’re headed to the paddy wagon. They also don’t clog up traffic on Pennsylvania Avenue in front of “the people’s house” in a “direct action” protest to shut down the nation’s capital; they aren’t jealous of the media coverage given to their fellow...

In the Washington, DC area, there are two Monday-Friday newspapers that are distributed for free: The Express, which is owned by the Washington Post, and The Examiner, which has three different editions, one each for Virginia, Maryland, and DC. The papers target commuters on the Metro subway system and buses. They are distributed in boxes on sidewalks and at Metro stations. Both newspapers ran pictures from the pro-military rally on Sunday on their front pages. You can view pdf versions of these papers at the following links: September 26 ExpressSeptember 26 Examiner

Margaret Johnson, 54, came to the District yesterday to remember her 29-year-old son and honor his sacrifice. Clutching a photograph of Army Capt. Christopher Johnson, the American Gold Star Mother said she couldn't be more proud of him. "He did make a difference in this world; I don't care what anyone says," said Mrs. Johnson, of Excelsior Springs, Mo. "I am here to speak for my son. I am here to support him. He knew the cost of freedom and that it was not free, and he volunteered to go to Iraq anyway." A member of the 25th Infantry Division...

WASHINGTON, Sept. 25, 2005 – Their message was simple: "We support our troops," said rally organizer Kristinn Taylor. "We love them and we support their mission." "We know that what they are doing is just and noble," he added. "We remember what happened on Sept. 11. We know that it's because of the sacrifices that they are making day in and day out, night and day, that we have not had another terrorist attack on our soil." Supporters of Iraq War Counter Anti-War Rally With Demonstrations of Their Own By The Associated The Associated Press Sep. 25, 2005 - Military families and other defenders of the war in Iraq were claiming their turn to demonstrate, responding to a huge war protest with a rally of their own on the National Mall. Organizers hoped to draw several thousand people to their noontime event near the National Air and Space Museum. They acknowledged the rally would be much smaller than Saturday's anti-war protest in Washington but said their message would not be overshadowed. "People have been fired up over...
