Bill would give DHS emergency cyber powers June 3, 2010 We're learning more about the cybersecurity package forming in the Senate. Wired.com reports Sen. Joe Lieberman, (I-Conn.) wants to give the federal government the power to take over civilian networks' security, if there's an "imminent cyber threat." It's part of a draft bill, co-sponsored by Senators Lieberman and Susan Collins, that provides DHS with the authority to ensure that critical infrastructure stays up and running in the face of a looming hack attack. The Senate version of the fiscal 2011 Defense authorization bill scheduled to be released later this week...

America's Ambassador to the United Nations has been a failure. Perhaps Susan Rice should spend less time career-climbing in DC, angling to replace Hillary Clinton (she has been "wildly inattentive" according to the non-partisan The Hill magazine) and more time doing her job. Rice (and the US) was AWOL when it came to the vote to allow Libya onto the UN Human Rights Council; was AWOL in a Sec Council Resolution that condemned Israel (the first time such as Security Council resolution was not vetoed by America). She promised to reform the UN Human Rights Council when controversy arose from...

Susan's departed Wisteria lane and rented her house. In the final moments of the last episode, the renter was shown. I don't know who he was. Who was he?

Like many of her cohorts in the Obama administration, U.N. Permanent Representative Susan Rice seems to spend more time gallivanting around the Washington, D.C. social scene than doing any actual productive work. A report from Richard Grennel, who served as official spokesman for the U.N. Ambassador during the entire eight years of George Bush's term in the White House, suggests that Dr. Rice spends more time channeling her inner Desiree Rogers than forcing direction at the U.N. Security Council.

Whatever happens to Susan Boyle on Saturday night, her place is secure in folk memory. The moment the 48-year-old Scottish spinster put a microphone to her mouth on the theatre-of-cruelty stage of the UK television show Britains Got Talent, faces froze and fantasy took over. The three judges on the ITV program had greeted with rolled eyeballs and sniggers the arrival of an uncoiffed contestant in a saggy, off-white frock. Those world-weary prejudices choked in their throats as Boyle began to sing I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables in a voice as full as Loch Lomond in flood. Her...

I love Susan Boyle's voice, and am anxious for her to record a CD. I would personally like to hear her sing songs such as: Some Enchanted Evening, Unchained Melody, The Rose, Over the Rainbow, White Cliffs of Dover, Wind Beneath My Wings, and more. What other songs would you like to hear Susan sing?

The Scottish woman who became an Internet singing sensation after her performance on a British talent show said Friday she doesn't want fame to change her. Susan Boyle, 47, has said she's still the same humble girl next door despite her knockout singing on "Britain's Got Talent." She shocked and inspired the audience, judges, and Web watchers with her rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream" from the musical "Les Misérables" in the first round of the show. "I wouldn't want to change myself too much because that would really make things a bit false," she told CNN's "American Morning" on...

THE Daily Record has uncovered the only CD ever made by Scotland’s singing sensation Susan Boyle. It emerged last night that Susan, whose Britain’s Got Talent triumph has made her an instant superstar, is being lined up for an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey show which would give her the chance of a number one album in the US. But the Record can reveal she made her first recording back in 1999, when she sang blues ballad Cry Me A River for a charity CD. Only 1000 copies of the disc were ever produced, but we’ve got hold of the...

Simon Cowell, the British-accented and sometimes condescending talent judge of television's mega-hit program "American Idol," was stunned by the singing of a 47-year-old church volunteer who claims she's never been kissed but whose amazing performance has catapulted her to sudden celebrity.

IT'S hard to believe those gentle, playful dolphins we all love are actually ultra-horny, dangerously jealous creatures - but Jessica Alba and Susan Sarandon can tell you it's true from personal experience. Alba learned just how sex-crazed the lovable mammals are when she filmed the 1990s "Flipper" remake. "Dolphins get excited, even when you are a human being and they have long, long," the "Sin City" hottie told MTV. ". . . I didn't know this until I was being poked by a few of them, which was very rude. I sort of requested female dolphins after that because those...

The sun is rising over a house in the Berkeley Hills, and in its modest studio apartment, America's most compelling anti-war activist is making her bed, apologizing for the clutter and running late. Cindy Sheehan was up much of the previous night while emergency room doctors treated her daughter for a painful cyst, but sleeping in is out of the question. Soon a car will whisk her off to a Canadian TV interview, to be followed by a local TV interview, and finally, fixing spaghetti for her three adult children in Vacaville -- her home before the death of her...

I work for Fox News as a commentator. I say whatever I want. I'm the blonde on the left, figuratively and literally – the one who's usually smiling because it's television, not the Supreme Court or Congress, and I find civility more effective in any event. Besides, why shouldn't I be smiling? Prior to working for Fox, I worked for ABC and NBC, spent a lot of time at CNN and almost ended up at CBS. I worked for a bunch of local stations in Los Angeles and had a talk radio show at KABC for six years. Story Continues...
