A middle school teacher at Hempstead's Alverta B. Gray Schultz Middle School was in a classroom Wednesday afternoon when a parent went past a security checkpoint and waited outside her door to confront her, police and union officials said. The parent, later identified as Annika McKenzie, 34, insisted in engaging the teacher for reasons that haven't been disclosed. The teacher was heard asking the woman to get a security pass and then calling for security before things got worse, police said.

Pranksters be warned Eight-grader Domanik Green was arrested on felony charges in Holiday, Fla. Wednesday after breaking into his teacher’s computer to change the background picture to two men kissing. Green, 14, who was released the day of his arrest, said that he broke into the computer of teacher he didn’t like after realizing that faculty members’ passwords were simply their last names, the Tampa Bay Times reports. PITTSBURGH — A Norwin High School health and physical education teacher was arrested on charges of dealing heroin, officials said. Agents charged the defendant, 37-year-old Lisa Rodnicki, with one count each of delivery of heroin, possession with intent to deliver heroin and possession of heroin, Attorney General Kathleen Kane said. According to the criminal complaint, agents made a controlled purchase from Rodnicki utilizing a confidential informant, who paid Rodnicki $300 for 45 bags of heroin. FITCHBURG -- A former Fitchburg charter school sex-education teacher pleaded guilty Friday in Worcester Superior Court to a charge she raped a 14-year-old student, according to a report.
