Two Muslim filmmakers have filed a lawsuit against the operator of New York subways claiming the agency rejected their advertisements under a rule that prohibits disputed political views. The United States said on Thursday it had suspended nearly $24 million in aid to Thailand because of its military coup. "In response to the military coup ... in Thailand the United States has suspended almost $24 million of assistance to the Thai government," State Department spokesman Sean McCormack told reporters, saying this money included funding for military training, peace-keeping operations and arms purchases. Funding for humanitarian purposes will continue, he said.
