Thursday night's episode of Grey's Anatomy addressed the issues of racial injustice and police brutality, as peaceful protestors were brought into Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital after being shot by tear gas canisters and rubber-coated bullets. As heartbreaking as the episode was, the moment that drew the biggest response, was when Maggie's boyfriend Winston, who is Black, was pulled over by two white police officers. The scenario, which we've seen go wrong countless times in the past , most recently, with the shooting of Daunte Wright, had viewers taking to social media both in tears and enraged. There’s no social distancing for criminals. Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical Left and Islamic terrorism. While the authorities are cracking down on miscreants attending drive-in church services or surfing in the ocean, urban gangs are practicing social distancing by shooting their victims from passing cars. With 4 dead and 19 wounded over the weekend, Chicago’s gangs made it clear that they weren’t staying home. Either that or they thought that shooting rival drug dealers was an essential activity. And for them it probably is. While...

When it comes to racial shakedowns, few organizations succumb on a grander scale than the National Football League. This tendency was on full display on Tuesday when NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and black rapper/business mogul Jay-Z announced a multiyear partnership “to enhance the NFL’s live game experiences and to amplify the league’s social justice efforts.” More plainly, the league is about to entangle itself further with political radicalism. Goodell and company may believe that the pact is good for public relations, but they could not be more wrong. The NFL for many years has been a prime target of black...

Historically, women have needed to be convinced to enter politics. But since the 2016 presidential election, thousands of women announced their plans to run for public office. And we want them to win. So we're giving them a monthly example of a woman who has run. The point: You can too. Sybrina Fulton is widely known as one of the Mothers of the Movement, a group of mothers who have lost a child to gun violence or police brutality. In 2012, she lost her son Trayvon Martin, who was an unarmed Black teenager fatally shot by George Zimmerman. His death...

Tupac’s childhood was awash in criminals. His godfather was convicted of murdering a schoolteacher during a robbery in 1968. His stepfather Mutulu Shakur spent four years at large on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. Mutulu was ultimately convicted of robbing an armored truck and subsequently killing two police officers and a Brinks guard. Shakur had regular run-ins with both criminals and Law Enforcement. He once wounded a pair of intoxicated off-duty police officers out celebrating with their wives. Both parties exchanged gunfire, but, as the cops were both drunk and in possession of stolen firearms, all charges were...

In an op-ed from Tuesday's Wall Street Journal, former New York City prosecutor Linda Fairstein responded to the recent Netflix series on the Central Park Five, and accused its producer, Ava DuVernay, of fabricating words attributed to her character, played by Felicity Huffman, to portray her as a racist who was determined to convict the teens in the face of an alleged lack of evidence against them. Fairstein began the article, titled "Netflix's False Story of the Central Park Five," by declaring that the series, When They See Us, is "so full of distortions and falsehoods as to be an...

OAKLAND, Calif. — It may now all be up to Kevin Durant and the state of his calf strain to save the Warriors from doom. Before Friday’s Game 4 of the NBA Finals, Steve Kerr was asked about that night being potentially the final Warriors game at Oracle Arena. “The mindset is, let’s make sure there’s two more games here,’’ the Golden State coach said. The Warriors did not get that done, despite controlling the first half, and now the champs’ legs are wobbling. The Raptors rolled in the final two periods as Kawhi Leonard lifted his squad onto his...

Longtime Colombo under-boss John “Sonny” Franzese is the living embodiment of the ultimate mob rule — bragging in an interview about refusing to rat despite it making him the oldest federal prisoner at the age of 100. Wheelchair-bound Franzese, now 102 and living in a nursing home, told Newsday about his life of crime — and how he stuck to the “Goodfellas” adage of “Never rat on your friends, and always keep your mouth shut” despite facing 50 years behind bars.
