"CBS This Morning" has now spoken with the three friends of the victim of an alleged gang rape at a University of Virginia fraternity house who were mentioned in a Rolling Stone article. The magazine has admitted it had mistakes in the story. The accounts the friends gave to "CBS This Morning" were similar to each other, but very different from that of the victim, "Jackie," reports CBS News correspondent Julianna Goldman. The college students described as friends of the alleged rape victim Jackie in an explosive Rolling Stone article revealed their identities to ABC News today, and said that some of the magazine's story is false. "The text was so divergent from what we said that evening," said Alex Stone, who said he's identified as "Andy" in the article. The magazine article describes a violent, three-hour gang rape that left a University of Virginia student identified as Jackie bruised and bloody when she escaped a house on fraternity row, right near the university president's office.

Atthar Mirza and Elizabeth Ballou — second and third-year College students, respectively — released a self-made video Thursday evening thanking Jackie for telling her story and offering support for sexual assault survivors in the University community. Jackie, a University student, told Rolling Stone magazine seven men — one of whom she worked with as a lifeguard at the Aquatic and Fitness Center — raped her at a Phi Kappa Psi fraternity party on September 28, 2012.
