Leftist vandals in Baltimore, Maryland, smashed a 225-year-old “racist” monument to discoverer of the new world Christopher Columbus with a sledge hammer in the wee hours of Monday morning, posting a two minute video of themselves in the act to YouTube. INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- IMPD has arrested a 30-year-old man for allegedly vandalizing the Confederate monument in Garfield Park. According to authorities, Anthony Ventura was arrested at around noon in the 2400 block of Shelby Street following the alleged incident. After a video started making the rounds on social media, folks in the area, like Rex Staples, came out to see the damage. "It's stupid, it don’t really make any sense, you know?" said Staples, " because they’re really not doing anything.”

MISSION HILLS (CBSLA.com) — Several people stopped by a statue of Father Junipero Serra in a park across from Mission San Fernando on Thursday after a photo made the rounds on social media appearing to show the statue had been vandalized. A picture circulating Facebook showed the statue spray-painted red and the word “murder” written on Serra in white.

HOUSTON – Houston police say someone vandalized the Christopher Columbus statue in Bell Park overnight. Police were called to the scene between 12 a.m. and 2 a.m. Friday at Bell Park in the 4800 block of Montrose. It appeared someone dumped red paint on the statue. According to a plaque, the Italian-American Organizations of Greater Houston donated the statue to the city in 1992. Houston police have no suspects in this case. Restoration crews are now hard at work to clean it up, a painstaking process.

Police arrested one man early Friday in connection with a spray-painted message intended to deface the statue of former Mayor and Police Commissioner Frank Rizzo outside the Municipal Services Building. The suspect is a 40-year-old man from Germantown, according to a police source. He was expected to be charged with criminal mischief, institutional vandalism, and possession of an instrument of crime. CNN posted a map on August 17 showing the location of approximately 1,500 Confederate monuments and/or official symbols in the U.S. The map will, no-doubt, serve as a hit-list for the frenzied Workers World Party members and others seeking the removal and destruction of Confederate statues in city after city across America. PHOENIX - A Confederate monument in Phoenix was power-washed on Thursday morning after it was defaced with paint. White paint coated parts of the monument located in the Wesley Bolin Plaza in downtown Phoenix, but there is no word yet on who may have been behind the vandalism.
