A great memeber here and Navy veteran, MagUSNRET, made some comments that need to stand alone so more people read them, take heed, and hopefully TAKE ACTION! Without honest and open elections, with NO voter fraud, we do not have a Republic. Her comments: As this is the third election cycle convention thread I have been on, I am compelled to post this yet again, in hopes it gets some traction THIS time. Active Duty Military votes are very often claimed to have arrived “too late” to be counted,or were “lost at sea”, or they are not counted unless and...

Veterans Administration Reforms That Will Make America Great Again The Goals Of Donald J. Trump’s Veterans Plan The current state of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is absolutely unacceptable. Over 300,000 veterans died waiting for care. Corruption and incompetence were excused. Politicians in Washington have done too little too slowly to fix it. This situation can never happen again, and when Donald J. Trump is president, it will be fixed – fast.

Jeff Kyle, the brother of slain former Navy SEAL, Chris Kyle, posted to his Facebook that Chris’ wife, Taya, had directed lawyers to send a “cease & desist” order to an organization the Kyle family is working with, because they are raising funds for wounded veterans. Two organizations have teamed up to raise funds for veterans, and are using the Kyle name, with permission of the Kyle family. One organization, a Texas based extreme obstacle race team called Lone Star Spartans, has been holding annual race events in memory of Chris Kyle, and to raise money for vets. Jeff Kyle...

The White House on Monday canceled a Fourth of July celebration for troops who were scheduled to attend an event on the South Lawn, citing the possibility of inclement weather. However, President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will proceed with a planned performance this evening from rapper Kendrick Lamar and singer Janelle Monae. Afterward, the couple will deliver remarks in the East Room of the White House. Before the event was canceled, troops were scheduled to participate in a barbeque and view fireworks in the evening,...

A New Hampshire business is cashing in on the high popularity of the AR15 style rifles. Owner Mike Hagan is a combat vet of Afghanistan. His company offers a veterans' discount as well. He isn't intimidated by political correctness. From nh1.com: Owner Mike Hagan, of Hagan's Motor Pool Auto Repair and Sales, told Fox25 that several people have taken him up on the deal so far. “I have given away four AR-15s and one 9mm handgun, which is the other option if you don't want the AR-15,” he said. Hagan has partnered with a nearby gun store for the...

The 36th NVWG will offer 19 events plus one additional sport – triathlon. Keeping with the mountain theme, bobsledding will be offered as the year’s exhibition sport. While the official theme and logo are still being determined, the obvious underlying theme will be the beauty of the outdoors and the natural wonders of Utah, said Jill Atwood, chief of communications for the VA Salt Lake City Health Care System.

The nation’s leading veteran services organizations are rallying behind the Department of Veterans Affairs and its beleaguered health care system, touting the experience of staff, the breadth of services and its holistic approach to care delivery that they argue the private sector cannot match. The VSOs are warning of politicians and groups with agendas that constantly criticize VA health care, refuse to acknowledge reforms and thus advance a camouflaged campaign to dismantle VA health care. They also say it is time to better educate their own members on actions being taken to improve to the healthcare system that millions of...

A San Antonio Marine Corps veteran spending Wednesday afternoon with his family on the Medina River made the heroic, fateful decision to sacrifice his own life while rescuing two teens caught in the undertow, according to authorities. Master Sgt. Rodney Buentello was visiting Bandera City Park when an unidentified teen girl tried crossing the dam, a violation of city ordinance, the Bandera Marshal's Office said in a statement. A male teenager followed her in an attempt to save her, but was also swept away, prompting Buentello to jump into action."(He) went into the water and managed to save both of...

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone And she's always gone too long Anytime she goes away. Wonder this time where she's gone Wonder if she's gone to stay Ain't no sunshine when she's gone And this house just ain't no home Anytime she goes away. I went to the market Where all the families shop I pulled out my Ka-bar And started to chop Your left right left right left right kill Your left right left right you know I will -Military cadence “You can shoot her…” the First Sergeant tells me. “Technically.” We’re standing on a rooftop watching black smoke pillars rise from a section of the city where two of my teammates are taking machine gun fire. Below, the small cluster of homes we’ve taken over is taking sporadic fire as well. He hands me his rifle with a high powered scope and...

WASHINGTON – The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) today announced that it has removed three senior officials at the Phoenix VA Health Care System. The move follows an announcement in March in which VA proposed the removal of Lance Robinson, the facility’s Associate Director; Brad Curry, Chief of Health Administration Service; and Dr. Darren Deering, Chief of Staff. In addition to other causes, the three were removed for negligent performance of duties and failure to provide effective oversight for not ensuring Veterans were either properly scheduled for appointments or placed on an appropriate wait list. “We have an obligation to...

We spend an inordinate amount of time talking about the various scandals engulfing the VA in general and the abysmal healthcare received by our veterans in particular, but solutions thus far have been hard to come by. Tinkering with the existing system and replacing bad actors seems to be simply nibbling around the edges of the problem. There have been improvements in some areas, but wait times for veterans remain unacceptably long and the quality of care available in some regions is still far below where we need to be. Is it time to scrap the entire system and start...
