  • India, Japan to hold maiden bilateral air exercise

    01/07/2023 4:12:23 AM PST · by RomanSoldier19 · 4 replies
India and Japan will hold their first bilateral air exercise from January 12 to 26, in reflection of the growing defence ties amid increasing concerns over China's military muscle flexing in the Indo-Pacific region. The exercise 'Veer Guardian-2023' involving the Indian Air Force (IAF) and Japan Air Self Defence Force (JASDF) will be held at Japan's Hyakuri air base. The IAF said on Saturday that its deployment at the exercise will include four Su-30 MKI jets, two C-17 aircraft and one IL-78 plane. The JASDF will be participating with four F-2 and four F-15 aircraft, it said.

Sasse won reelection in 2020, and his term was not set to expire until 2026. But Sasse has been at odds with Trump and his own party for years. After the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, Sasse was one of seven Republican senators who voted to convict Trump for his role in inciting the deadly riot. Senate Republican leadership has been alerted of the news, a leadership aide told NBC News. According to Fox News, Sasse is headed to the University of Florida for a lucrative gig.

NBC’s The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon gushed over President Joe Biden, telling him that he is “bringing class back” to the presidency by attending events at the Kennedy Center and mingling with the elite, unlike former President Donald Trump. “I was at the Kennedy Center, and I saw Republicans and Democrats in the crowd,” Fallon told Biden. “Everyone was laughing at jokes and listening to great music — everyone seemed cordial and nice, and I go, ‘This seems like this should be much easier to get along with everybody.'”

In what has now become a familiar historical trend, one of the Taliban’s first acts after the militant group took Afghanistan was to confiscate firearms owned by civilians.Reuters reports that Taliban fighters in Kabul quickly set about collecting weapons from civilians because “people no longer need them for personal protection.”“We understand people kept weapons for personal safety. They can now feel safe. We are not here to harm innocent civilians,” said a Taliban official.“Give us your guns. We will protect you.” – Every government that is about to commit mass murder ever,” remarked Spike Cohen. According to Saad Mohseni, director...
  • Oklahoma drivers now have immunity from hitting rioters in streets under new law signed by Gov. Stitt

    04/25/2021 7:24:59 PM PDT · by FLT-bird · 35 replies
Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt (R) has signed into law a measure that provides protections to drivers who unintentionally injure or kill protesters while fleeing a riot. The big picture: The legislation, signed Wednesday, also increases the penalties for protesters who block public roadways. Oklahoma is one of several states that has passed measures targeting demonstrators in the wake of last year's nationwide BLM Riots. Iowa's Republican-led House passed a similar bill last week, per the Des Moines Register. Florida's "anti-riot" bill signed last week by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) also grants civil immunity to drivers who hit protesters if the...

To bookend Benjamin Franklin’s famous remark at the close of the Federal Convention in September 1787, the unique republican design of Franklin and his fellow Framers ended on January 6th 2021. It didn’t fall to external forces; it fell instead to the usual republican disease of internal conflict incited by those who corrupt free governing institutions for personal gain. January 6th marked the end, the final soiling, when Congress accepted obviously fraudulent and unconstitutional electoral votes. The Party is in charge, but it knows that we know they stole the election. So fearful were they of Trump supporters dominating the...

SEATTLE — The original rallying point for a protest that began Wednesday night in Seattle's Occidental Park was to support calls to abolish the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office, but it transformed into what participants describe as a direct action event. The protest resulted in the arrests of three people, several buildings tagged with graffiti and multiple shattered windows. Sheena was one of those marchers participating in the Wednesday night protest. “Direction action is beyond the picket signs in the streets," she said. "It's taking that a step further (and) it's willing to be confrontational, if needed.” Sheena's has...

Twitter backed down Friday in its battle with The Post and unlocked its main account after a two-week stalemate over the Hunter Biden exposé. The move came after The Post refused Twitter’s demand that it delete six tweets that linked to stories that the company claimed — without any evidence — were based on hacked information. The Post never budged, and kept the tweets on the account during the standoff.

President Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden are running neck and neck in Pennsylvania, according to a new Muhlenberg College-Morning Call poll released Thursday. Biden leads with 49 percent support among likely voters in the Keystone State, but Trump trails close behind with 45 percent, a difference that falls within the survey's margin of error. Three percent of voters said they will vote for neither candidate, and another 3 percent said they were unsure. Trump's approval rating is underwater in the state, with 51 percent of likely voters saying they disapprove of the job he's doing and 43 percent...

Some liberals keep ruining the idea that public radio is an oasis of civility and nonpartisanship. Take Bob Collins, a longtime political editor at Minnesota Public Radio. Anthony Gockowski of the Minnesota Sun site pointed out some Twitter savagery from Collins (account name @MyLittleBloggie). Many of his recent tweets are just the usual Democrat hack stuff -- Trump should resign, his supporters are rats. But on Friday, Collins erupted in hate, suggesting Republicans should commit suicide by shooting themselves in the chest.

Stephanie Carlson started the fire in a parking lot of a Walmart department store on Nov. 16, as per NBC-affiliate WFMJ last Wednesday, Nov. 20. Security footage showed smoke already stemming from the vehicle as the 40-year-old approached it and appeared to pour gasoline on the car. As Carlson ran away from the vehicle, flames immediately appeared. Police and fire authorities were later called to the scene at around 3:30 p.m. The...

Where’s the conservative/libertarian organized opposition to anything? The cultural marxists, as Rahm Emanuel would say, “never let a crisis go to waste,” while the opposition sits idly by with their thumbs up their asses. The Left responds almost immediately to any catalytic event, especially tragedy. The Left is proactive, always stirring up trouble, several steps ahead of the opposition. They exploit every issue, every weakness. They leave no stones unturned. The conservative opposition is reactive at best, but invisible and limp most of the time. The conservative/libertarian opposition is meek, timid, disorganized and uncoordinated; they are always left holding the...

Former President Bill Clinton, his voice hoarse from weeks on the campaign trail for his wife’s presidential bid, spoke Thursday at Freedom Temple in downtown Rock Hill. The East Main Street church was a last-minute addition to the former president’s schedule, two days before voters will choose between his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders in the South Carolina Democratic primary. Clinton urged voters to ignore what Hillary Clinton’s opponents say about her now, because “they’re just scared to run against her.” Peace in the Middle East can only be accomplished by winning the...

CAMBRIDGE -- A Harvard University student's fledgling dorm-cleaning business faced the threat of a campus boycott yesterday after the school's daily newspaper slammed it for dividing students along economic lines. The Harvard Crimson newspaper urged students to shun Dormaid, a business started by Harvard sophomore Michael Kopko that cleans up for messy students. "By creating yet another differential between the haves and have-nots on campus, Dormaid threatens our student unity," the Crimson said in an editorial. "We urge the student body to boycott Dormaid." But Mr. Kopko, 20, said he could not understand the Crimson's reaction to his business, which...
