    WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Winston-Salem State University is currently on lockdown, according to campus police. A RamALERT was sent out that read: RamALERT: WSSU campus is currently on lockdown. Secure inside a room until further advised. Do not come to campus if currently off campus until advised. It is unclear why the university was placed on lockdown. Winston-Salem police confirm they are assisting WSSU police.
