The next day, a piece by columnist Maureen Dowd with the very same title appeared in the New York Times. They couldn't have been more dissimilar. O'Donnell's presentation was charming, insightful and literate. She described the nuanced professional relationships that President Bush has with women. W stands for ... what? I had many out-of-body moments watching the Republican Convention a few weeks ago. The most startling was hearing about the "W stands for Women" campaign, designed by the Bush team to convince women -- that desirable block of swing voters-- that Bush is our man. He's our man?
