I have a pet desire, concerning Halloween:
Make it the last friday of October.
Period.
Everyone -employees and employers, kids and parents, students and revelers of all ages- will be much, much happier that way.
So... how would one go about convincing the Gubmint to do something so utterly rational?

I have a pet desire, concerning Halloween: Make it the last friday of October. While we're making adjustments, can we just do Christmas every other year? It just comes up too quickly most years. This year almost killed me.

That would make sense. Then there was no confusion on when candy would be passed out.

So... how would one go about convincing the Gubmint to do something so utterly rational? Just say that it will help illegals. They'll implement it in a NY minute.
