Bahar Akyurtlu, a math teacher at Harlem Renaissance HS in Manhattan, says being a good teacher and respecting students helps enormously. I try to do well by my trans community, by my trans students, Akyurtlu says. But more than anything else I like good conversations about gender.
Talk about whatever you like, but when we reach for home plate, we don't want a bat in the way.
Sorry freak, being a good teacher means teaching, and leave your private life private, and save conversations about "gender" to the English teachers...
I can't think of anything that would cause any children or grandchildren in my family to go to any lengths to avoid being in the same room as a sicko, militant pervert! Don't care a whit how good a teacher he says he is...
He has no clue that his head isn't on right.
He teaches math, gender discussions should have no part in that.
But more than anything else I like good conversations about gender.
If my child come home after having a “good conversation about gender” one of their teachers (soon to be former) will be missing some teeth the next day.
