Bahar Akyurtlu, a math teacher at Harlem Renaissance HS in Manhattan, says being a good teacher and respecting students helps enormously. “I try to do well by my trans community, by my trans students,” Akyurtlu says. “But more than anything else I like good conversations about gender.”

I can't think of anything that would cause any children or grandchildren in my family to go to any lengths to avoid being in the same room as a sicko, militant pervert! Don't care a whit how good a teacher he says he is...

He teaches math, gender discussions should have no part in that.
