Dr. Cyril Wecht distrusts the US government. And he’s proud of it. The forensic pathologist — who declared in 1978 that Lee Harvey Oswald did not act alone in assassinating President John F. Kennedy — is now 90 and still sticking to his story.
Wecht’s latest book, “The JFK Assassination Dissected” (Exposit Books), summarizes his six decades of research into the subject, and pokes holes in the conclusion made by the seven-man Warren Commission that Oswald, without any help, shot and killed Kennedy when his motorcade drove past the Texas School Book Depository in Dallas on Nov. 22, 1963.
“Young people are still being taught that the 35th president was murdered by a lone gunman, and that is simply xxxxxxxxx,” Wecht boomed during an interview at his modest office in downtown Pittsburgh last month.

There is something deep in the psyche of a lot of people that believe such monumental events could not possibly have been committed by loser loners. To them there has to be a much deeper meaning than that. There has to be a grand conspiracy behind it.
There was a documentary on tv ages ago by the guy who prosecuted Charles Manson and to me proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Oswald acted alone.
I was a firm conspiracy believer for most of my life. Three years ago I read Vince Bugliosi’s book on the subject. His meticulous detail convinced me that Oswald did in fact kill JFK.

After seeing what this government is capable before, during, and after Trump’s presidency for decades, I don’t believe any “official” story they put out.

It was Nov 1963 I had been in first grade for 3 months. Now I am retired and we still do not know what really went down, other than JFK.

I might normally have agreed with you, except that over and over again, I have seen my government lie and conspire against us.
My moment of awakening, to the fact that the government lies to us and covers stuff up happened in the Flight 800 crash over Long Island Sound. It was July 17, 1996, and I took a Mental Health day from work. I was tuned to MSNBC. Back in those days, MSNBC had not yet become an asylum for the politically insane, and actually had decent coverage about Clinton's many foibles, to eventually cover his scandals and subsequent impeachment.
Suddenly, Norah O'Donnell, who was working there at the time (and actually was a pretty decent journalist back then) cut into the programming with an announcement that Flight 800 had crashed, with no survivors. I moved right in front of the TV to watch.
Within 2 minutes, a video was posted that showed that the crash COULD NOT have been caused by a missile.
Wait, what???!?
No one had even mentioned the word 'missile'.... and the video was watermarked "CIA Video".
CRAZY.
Why would the CIA be producing this video within minutes of the crash? Why would it be distributing it so quickly? Why would it mention a missile, when NOBODY ELSE WAS?
These things set off my Whoa-This-Is-Weird-Radar.
Later, it was demonstrated that 670+ people saw a flame streaking up to meet the plane. You know, like a missile. One of those people was a National Guardsman, aloft in a plane, who just so happened to be a Missile-Plume expert.All of these witnesses were roundly scoffed by the government, and the official lie stood: It was a spontaneous center-fuel-tank explosion, and what everyone saw was the cabin section flying upwards.M
Despite the fact people were describing the plume flying up from the horizon-line, you know, the ground.

The motivation was obvious: If people thought a commercial airliner was struck by either a terrorist missile, or a friendly missile that went astray, airline traffic would collapse...and in 1997, Clinton did not need that distraction, not with his legal problems.
It was the first moment in my life that I realized that the government would lie to us, boldly and without shame, even when a half-a-thousand eyewitnesses contradicted them.
It was the first moment my vision became clear to just how venal and conniving the government could be.
They named the DC Airport for him for a reason (actually many)!
Why then wasn’t there all this speculation about who shot Reagan?

In reading. Bugliosi’s book on the subject of the assassination and specifically the Warren Report he always asks one question of those who are critical of the report: Did you read it? Not the summary, but the entire report. Bugliosi did and he tried to prove them wrong. He says they got it right.

this was in direct violation of texas state law, which provided that murder victims in texas be autopsied in texas.
secret service men threatened bodily harm to texas doctors and nurses who were charged with performing lawful state required duties to determine cause of death.
due process to jfk was violated by the federal government.
a sham federal commission led by a retired and senile federal judge was appointed to publish a politically motivated sham conclusion.
* suspect was murdered while in police custody
* no lawful autopsy of victim
* no trial
* sham extra-legal political investigation into the assassination
* ample motivation and opportunity for assassination by others
* 1978 assassination concludes that the original investigation is flawed and that there were multiple assassins
