Authorities were called to Republican Sen. Ted Cruz’s Texas home late Tuesday over reports that a teen had self-inflicted stab wounds, police told ABC affiliate KTRK.
Cruz has two daughters, ages 11 and 14.
The outlet reported that Houston police responded to called that a 14-year-old had stab wounds on their arms in the River Oaks neighborhood. The teen’s identity was not disclosed.
The teen was rushed to the hospital.
“This is a family matter, and thankfully their daughter is OK,” a representative for Cruz told the Daily Beast. They added that there “were no serious injuries.”
“The family requests that the media respect their daughter’s privacy at this time.”

teenage years are rough. I am glad I didnt have to navigate social media and all the bullying etc that comes with it when I was a teen.
The evil, lying media would NEVER post so many personal details.....juvenile.....juvenile’s age......type of harm/call.....street name....if this were Beto, or any other lib’s kid.
That's why you shouldn't allow your kids to get a smartphone until they turn 18.

It reminds me of Kellyanne Conway’s daughter, Claudia, who came out as gay and had other distressing events.
It didn’t say she had sex.

Give up what, exactly? Most children have parents who work, and don’t cut themselves. I guess both parents can quit their jobs, and a salary. They then can move into a double wide, go on Medicaid, and live on food stamps. Or, stay in their jobs, have a decent home and medical insurance. This kid sounds like a handful, and she needs psychiatric care her family can afford.
Ted is a fool for giving her daughter a smartphone without supervision in the first place.

That was my immediate thought. The poison thoughts can be delivered anonymously online. There is virtually no limit on what people will say, especially Libs, most of whom cannot tolerate any disagreement.
I can easily imagine them asking her on Facebook:
“How can you live with yourself, knowing you are his daughter? If Ted Cruz were MY father, I couldn’t handle it. I wouldn’t hestitate
to....”
The average teen is not strong enough to just dismiss all that firey hate being showered on them day after day.
Worse, if she doesn’t let her family know something she read is bothering her. “Then they will take my phones away!”
