A woman who walked out on her date after he refused to pay $3.00 for a slice of cheese on his burger is copping criticism for the “insane” reason why she abandoned him in a restaurant.
New York woman Dafna was on a date having dinner with a man she’d met on dating app Hinge and things were going well – until he said no to having cheese on his burger after the waitress told him it came at an additional cost.
His refusal to part ways with an extra few dollars proved too much for Dafna who, after eating, said she was going to use the bathroom but actually went and paid the bill. She then left the restaurant without saying goodbye, opting to instead send him a message that read: “The check is taken care of. You should have gotten the cheese.”

“Burger cheese is often not the best”
One of Life in America Truths.
What say you, Laz...
The guy is definitely the winner here. He dodged a bullet not going any further with this chick and she paid for his regular burger on top of that. Wonder if she was too cheap to tip the wait staff?
I wouldn't pay $3 extra for a slice of cheese on a burger either, it's basically tasteless anyway.
Maybe he actually lives on, and sticks to a budget in that overpriced shithole called NYC.
I like frugal men (they balance me out :-).
It might make me feel bad if he were taking me out for the first time and foregoing something he wanted because of the cost. But I wonder how many women know to order the more inexpensive items on the menu, when they first go out with a man whose circumstances they don’t really know...
I took a girl out decades ago that went on and on, over pizza and a beer, about how bad it was that people shot deer. I said hey, if they eat the deer, what's the big deal. I think that ended it, I knew it would. Easier that way.
Hmmm...looks like Geddy Lee has had some extensive work done.
She’s very unattractive. She’s lucky she even had a date.
Maybe he should just ask for BJ upfront and see what happens.
my husband never ever asks if things are included in the price.
The server suggests cheese/bread/dip/soup he thinks it’s free or she would not be offering.
It’s an upsell!!
Could be, he figured she was gonna be expensive and was making sure he had enough to pay for what she wanted. And maybe, she just looks at how much money a man has and nothing else matters.
I see cats in her future...
Perhaps two kinds of cats.
Definitely. First, she’s foul-mouthed and her dialogue is peppered with “so, I’m like…” “and he’s like” “and I’m like…”
And then it appears she didn’t even bother to wash her dirty hair and perhaps there might have been some significant time since her last shower. Ew.
I used to eat lunch with a guy that almost always ordered a BLT. One day, there was mayo on only one slice of bread. The day after, he requested mayo on both slices. When the bill came, they’d charged him an extra dollar for the mayo. He made a point of telling the cashier that the dollar came out of the waitress’s tip.
He lucked out ... one miserable night is better than a lifetime of misery
I can also say that I won’t even pay 80 cents for an extra slice of cheese. Fast food places like to put out specials on burgers the don’t include cheese. They then expect you to pay a huge amount extra to get cheese. I have been know to bring my own cheese.
Or did he?
