I still have so little knowledge about it but when the Deep Throat and Behind the Green Door movies were popular——in the 1970s-—they would appear in some theaters and knockoffs would be in rundown theaters. Old cop shows have the marquees in the background in city scenes. Funny titles usually. Later on video rental places would have an adult section for “Debbie Does Dallas” types. Then articles said no full length porn was being made.
So after that how could Trump accuser Stormy Daniels and others be a “porn star” or “actress” if they have no full movies anywhere? Unless I haven’t heard of them. In the 70s there were “loops” on low budget at sleazy buildings for “adult books” (suppose the other books are all children’s?), but now they must be on even lower budget videos, right? So how do they build an “acting” “career”?

It went from full movie like Deep Throat to videos and it exploded on the internet in the late 90’s. Women porn stars had fairly short runs as the highlight of the films was not older women or middle aged and the younger ones took over most of the porn industry starting in the early 2000’s. That has changed to specialty now with age appearance being a factor in sales. It now is all in taste.
