Bashing someone’s head repeatedly into the concrete is not self defense.
Being verbally bullied by someone does not justify smash their head into the cement repeatedly. A intelligent person would know that.

Maybe, if the girl bashed was smarter than the basher, and the basher thought her ‘honor roll’ status was threatened, she was self defending her brain against the smarter brain by bashing it.
And the poor girl’s skull was just getting in the way.
She was said to be unconscious for some of that. No surprise there. But defending yourself against someone who’s unconscious? That’d be tough to prove.
