The Education Department paid a public relations firm to promote their policy. It was that firm that employed Armstrong, and the contract was between Armstrong and the PR firm.

And that makes it better how? The Education department paid money that went to a 'commentator' to taut their policies.

" The Education department paid money that went to a 'commentator' to taut their policies."

And this is different from having TV personalities do election campaign commercials for you in what way??

Regardless of the hair splitting ethical questions, Williams was a good choice for the job. So WHAT if he's black?? He's intelligent, poised and a damned good speaker. He makes a point of knowing what he's talking about. Are these normally admirable qualities now just lies to make minorities love a bill ultimately written by TEDDY KENNDY??

Where's Teddy's commentary in all of this?

Actually it went to Williams' firm to make ads, not to him personally as a commentator.

And yes, he should have disclosed more often then he did (and he did disclose, just not consistantly and that was sloppy and that was it).

This is nothing.
