This is one of the few governor's races anywhere in the country where conservative principles are being put to test- and an outspoken conservative is being smeared by the MSM. The word simply must get out around the country.
Give your time and money to Beauprez, to start. Yard signs and bumper stickers are available now. Invite friends to learn about Bob at bobbeauprez.com. Those are things that Colordans can do individually.
"Conservative principles are being put to the test"
Well, not exactly. Ritter is trying to pull a Salazar by running as a conservative Rat. The Coors campaign did a terrible job at unveiling Salazar's liberalism. I'm afraid with the Post's cover Beauprez is having the same problems. Nevertheless, don't worry too much until after labor day. Then the ads will get on tv and you'll see more debate in the press. This is still, in my opinion, Beauprez's race to lose. The key may very well be the civil union (referendum I) battle. If it loses then Beauprez wins because of the heavy, heavy socon turnout. He needs to stay on message about taxes and jobs while hitting the folks in the Springs hard. That may actually win Scott Tipton the race in CD 3 against John Salazar with the conservative W. Slope people. This year in Colorado will break one way or the other. It will not be a total wash for the Pubs but it should be for the Rats.
Beauprez needs to stand with Owens, McInnis, Campbell, John Elway...repeatedly.
There should be several public events per week to go over the heads of the Post, etc.
Coors ran a terrible race. He could have and should have won. Just another bad campaign.
