Irresponsible leaders

What do leaders think?

I often wonder about the thought process of those representing me in government as I stand in line at the grocery store, counting my money to make sure that I have enough to pay for my purchase, when the person in front of me is talking on their Razr cell phone, paying for steaks with a Vision Card and driving away a new SUV. Also, I wonder about their thought processes when I see them spend trillions of dollars on wonderful projects that are supposed to stimulate the economy, like the $1.8 million to reduce the smell of pig manure, the millions of dollars for ACORN, overseas abortions, the money to rebuild the Gaza Strip, etc. Also, I wonder why people who were irresponsible in paying their mortgages get taxpayer money to stay in a home that they never should have been in, while I continue to pay for mine through hard work every day. Another thing that I wonder about is if it were the personal money of the president, the Congress or the Senate, would they blow it as freely as they are the taxpayers' money?

These are just a few of my concerns, but I suppose my biggest concern and question is how could our government vote on a stimulus package that they didn't even read? Does our governments' fiscal irresponsibility concern anyone else? If so, please contact your congressperson to express your concern.

Democrats in Congress don't care about anything except getting the attention they get for being members of Congress. They don't understand what is going on.

They understand just fine; they are taking this country apart so that they can pick up the pieces and reassemble them any way they want. As far as passing bills they haven’t read, however; they have been doing that for years. It’s pretty standard procedure. The (taxpayer financed) staff people are supposed to read the bills, but I am not sure they do, either.
