I would love to know what the Queen Mum’s private thoughts were leading up to and during all of this. Both of the Bush first ladies are so low key, genteel in public and unassuming - guess it must be their southern manners.

The Queen Mum is dead. The current Queen Elizabeth is not the Queen Mum. That was her mother.
